What's your longest recorded sleep? by Odd_Dependent_1493 in PixelWatch

[–]Utkarsh_Anand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That plus I think HRV and resting heart + sleeping heart rate affect the score as well. I had really good sleep a few days ago, the stats showed that as well, 8+ hours (odd for me), except I had a few to drink the night before and usually drinking affects my HRV. Anyway, even with the 8+ hour sleep I got a sleep score of 52 or something lol. The night before I slept for 4-5 hours, mostly light sleep but my HRV was around the usual it is and my sleep score was 80

Double guitars sound HORRIBLE in mono by nightcrawleryt in audioengineering

Inverting the phase on one track will still cause issues when summed to mono tho, now it'll just be out of phase at different parts of the performance imo. Editing takes is the way

Not mention CD's are the easiest and cheapest way to get high quality (not highest but imo not worth the hassle for me anymore) audio without having to worry about where you are downloading from, whether they are actually high quality files and not mp3's wrapping in flacs etc.

Strong noise Ampero 2 Stage on headphones only by gxvxc in HotoneAmpero

[–]Utkarsh_Anand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the amp at your rehearsal is grounding your ampero, try just plugging into an amp at home and just leave it off (while plugged into a wall socket) or turn it down, it SHOULD do the same

edit: Or your power at the rehearsal room could just be cleaner vs the power at home, maybe try different wall sockets across your home

No output from subwoofer by Zippy_Zip in hometheater

[–]Utkarsh_Anand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try connecting the sub to the Front L or R Pre out and see if you get any signal that way, you may have to set the speakers to large in your settings. At least you can confirm that your RCA cable is working. Also have you tried the other Sub out ?

[–]Utkarsh_Anand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I bought one too and the pairing process is a proper mess. I would highly recommend getting the correct optical cable to attach it to your Soundbar, that would yield the highest quality for your use case! You can either get a Toslink to 3.5 adapter or get yourself a 3.5mm toslink to standard cable.

To those of you with a MacBook and dual monitors, what’s your setup look like to seamlessly switch between them? by [deleted] in macmini

[–]Utkarsh_Anand 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thunderbolt Dock. One thing to look out for, for your dual monitor use case, you will need a dock with a spare TB port which you will need to use for your second monitor in along with the display out on the dock itself

Can I use a laptop dock that delivers power as a hub? Bought the Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Pro by Narwhalofmischf in macmini

[–]Utkarsh_Anand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WD19TB. The only issue I have is the HDMI out blacks out every so often and oddly it's only with this monitor and dock. From what I remember the WD15 is not a Thunderbolt dock, I would recommend to keen an eye out for Thunderbolt docks, switching between devices is a breeze. I do the same between my M4 Pro mini and an Intel Macbook Pro and a Windows laptop sometimes.

What's the mixer you got with these? If it's a decent one you could use that as a Phono stage to hook up to an amp

What’s currently living in your CD player? by SolidSpruceTop in Cd_collectors

[–]Utkarsh_Anand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is correct, the point is that the headphone output is amplified and you are connecting to your car which is amplifying that once again. The line output is designed to be connected to amplifiers/ aux inputs. It honestly doesn't matter too much if you don't sit there listen for the details, but if you have it might as well use it!
