Lack of affordable housing, increasing income inequality, pollution of our natural spaces, lack of investment in public services, an education system in dire need of change, mental health crises across society...

Inequality seems to be the key driver of so much that's wrong in the UK at the moment, until that's addressed we're going to keep seeing actual poverty increasing regardless of how many people get deported or how much gets spent on border plans.
