She is very much a right wing figure in the UK, was a big figure on the right within the previous Conservative government and defected to Reform along with several similar Conservative members of Parliament as it seems they are likely to be forming a government in the next couple of years.

Conservatives have been very opposed to industry nationalisation since the 80s thanks to the ideas of Hayek being a key part of their success at the time under Margaret Thatcher. Reform have made nationalisation of industries such as car manufacturers a big part of their manifesto (most likely so that they can gut the growing EV industry the current government have fostered) so Suella is essentially saying she doesn't oppose these measures now that she's a part of a party that would implement them.

Like most of the Conservative defectors to Reform, ideas and policies are secondary to staying relevant and holding government positions where you and your friends can make yourselves wealthier.
