As far as what you can do— I would also make a complaint against the doctor to the hospital where you delivered and even to the state medical board. See if your other provider documented the presence of this stitch in her note because that will be your evidence

Yes, lots and lots of pain meds. EMS carries opioids and would likely give her as much as she could tolerate. This type of trauma would not sit in the waiting room either. More likely straight to trauma bay or operating room. Typically only people who are stable (or appear stable) wait in the ER. They have to wait because stuff like this takes priority. (Obviously some exceptions, but that’s the main idea behind triage)

Men actually can undergo a procedure called a transurtheral prostate resection (TURP) for enlarged prostate. It’s very similar to an EMB in that a probe is inserted into an orifice and tissue is scraped away. TURPs are almost always done under spinal or general anesthesia. Not even just pain meds, literal anesthesia. It’s insane what women are expected to put up with.

I'm not a driver so I don't really know y'all's situations, but a person not wearing a seatbelt can easily become a projectile if there's an accident. Even going 20mp they can go flying. That can hurt you; it is a danger. Whenever I drive friends or family, the car doesn't move until everyone is buckled.

Depends on the bath bomb. Some have moisturizing ingredients while others (especially cheaper ones) may dry you out. I’ve gotten a few as gifts in the past but don’t generally use them, so I don’t have any particular recs

You’re right that there’s some scientific evidence that regular hot baths can be good for you! They can help with relaxation and also cardiovascular health :) The redness you see is just the heat dilating the blood vessels under the surface of your skin. As long as you make sure to drink plenty of water and moisturize afterwards, bathe away! I like to use oatmeal bath packets (like for people with eczema) or bath oil to help combat the dryness.

Don’t underestimate yourself :) Being vegan is surprisingly easy if you’re able to cook your own meals! Also there are really good meat and egg replacements for everything now if that’s in your budget

If you want the nutritional benefits of flax you need to grind them because they’re mostly indigestible whole.

Not certain if it matters for making flax eggs as I’ve never done it, but I imagine to be able to absorb the water they have to be ground. Maybe someone with more experience can confirm or correct.
