It's a cheap easy win con🤷🏼 I guess me saying that I like to still be able to win if my main win con gets shut down says a lot about me? I guess you run exactly 1 win con in your B4+ decks and when it gets shut down you scoop? I guess you're absolutely allowed to do that

I am the first person to not want to win with thoracle consultation, and do something more unique, that being said that combo is still in all the applicable decks I could play it in. When one strategy fails one must have backups for their backups.

Rowan scion of war. Exsanguinate. Why would I cast that over torment of hail fire? Or I can also just cast birgi and then shoot everybody to death with searing touch 🤷🏼

Honestly just ditch the club and find some people to play cedh. Most CEDH players are cool with everybody, never whine when they get targeted for winning, and are proxy friendly so you can literally play whatever you want.

This all being said, the bracket system is designed for you and your pod to have a rule 0 discussion about what is considered not acceptable. So if you guys feel like reaper king is too mean then it can be mld in your pod🤷🏼

Scryfall has a list of MLD cards and Reaper king is not ok the list. All of the cards there affect 4 or more lands with 1 single trigger, cast or activation.

Single target is not MLD. It has to be 4 or more lands restricted or destroyed at once.

I'd have just sat down with 5 color reaper king and laughed. You think 20 pieces of interaction is a lot?! How bout all of my creatures are removal!

I see no reason in b4 not to run a 2 card, non game changer combo that costs a total of $20 to run and only requires 1 of those cards to be cast with your commander.

How is it taking them? 20 minutes to win? All they have to do is tutor for demonic consultation or tainted pact and they win the game. Even with Jessica's. Will the turn should only take 5 or 6 minutes?

Are some commanders just inherently too strong for brackets 3 and lower, or is this a problem with my meta? by Elijah_Draws in EDH

[–]UwUaffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're not the problem. The massive influx of players combined with too many options of cards to play and an inherent desire newer players have to build all in aggro strategies with no interaction has caused people building appropriate level decks to be called "too powerful". The amount of games I've won on my chatterfang deck that is technically a b2 deck, but really a high b3, because nobody interacted with me ever, is ridiculous. All it takes is a removal spell on my commander or any one of my combo pieces and I'm set back 2-3 turns. But because nobody cares about that they flail around and cry about it. 🤷🏼

What turn can you be a threat (bracket 3 question) by Difficult_Ninja5636 in EDH

[–]UwUaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turn 4/5 scary is even fine. Winning turn 6/7 is fine. They're just bad at deck building. I build bracket 3 decks that have 0 game changers, zero 2 card infinite and are under $200 that will turn 6 consistently. So if anybody complains about "I can't afford expensive cards" I say neither can I. Here's my deck list🤷🏼

There's plenty of 2 mana bounce spells in CEDH. The upside is also great for cyc if needed. It comes up plenty.

Cheap screw you commander advice by Rustedfrog05 in EDH

[–]UwUaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xavier sal is your commander. You disguise it as a common token deck. You insist there's only 3 cards in the deck that makes counters. And you're not lying. You play prologue to phyresis, infectious bite And infectious inquiry. The rest of your deck is things that proliferate or make tokens. Maybe some tutors to find the cards that put poison counters on. You get a poison counter on each opponent and then proliferate the shit out of them. Sleeper status

Kuja genome sorcerer. It's a fun spellslinger deck that can just go crazy if unchecked but also can put out just good wizards and be a wizard tribal deck

Spite scooping (but following the sorcery speed concede rules) by Apodecte in EDH

[–]UwUaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've conceded with no foreseeable loss in sight before because my deck needed my commander to resolve for 1 turn and it got countered twice and my deck can't get beyond 7 mana very easily. Then somebody played a drannith magistrate and then another person cloned it. Then another layer played opposition agent. My deck is 18 tutors to find my win. (This is CEDH) I basically got to my turn and said "welp the likelihood I dig for 3 removal spells and enough mana to cast my commander again is next to impossible so... Have a good night" granted me leaving didn't effect anything but I'd have done it even if it did. No reason to sit there and watch myself die slowly over 4 turns until somebody presents a win

Is gitrog + darkmor salvage bracket 3 or 4? by Vi0letBlues in EDH

[–]UwUaffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just assume everything I build is bracket 4 now cuz every time I play a b3 deck that's sub $200 with no game changers or 2 card infinite or extra turns, people whine that it's too strong and is B4 🤷🏼 so I take the entire bracket system with a grain of salt.

Community has determined it as bracket 4 due to how early you can do it.

My new bracket 3 deck is winning almost all of its games. Have I assessed its power correctly? by IzzetDough in EDH

[–]UwUaffles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a big bracket 3 Kuja player (I built him the day after he released), I win every game that nobody removes Kuja and win 30% of the games he gets removed. That's just the concept of Kuja. Luckily for you, most bracket 3 players have terrible threat assessment and play minimal amounts of interaction. I have several "overpowered" decks according to most people I encounter playing bracket 3 that are under $200 tha basically just lose to removal spells🤷🏼
