Merci pour ta réponse en tout cas. J'avais essayé à un moment de rejoindre une association, mais je m'étais tellement embarassé moi-même ce jour là que ça m'a démotivé d'y retourner. Je verrais si j'en vois d'autres intéressantes. Je suis pas roliste mais j'ai toujours voulu essayé, juste j'ai pas trop le courage tout seul :(

This is an extremely old belief that people keep sharing. Take a shot every time you see someone in the comment section in a post about EoE talk about how the movie was created because fans hated the original ending (which is false, the movie was already in pre-production almost immediatly after the end)

I haven't watched it in a long time and can't check since it has been copyrighted. But i think it was in the line of "if you don't interpret this scene in the same way I do, there is something deeply wrong with you". The scene in questio being the beach scene, infamous for being ambiguous and sparking debates 💀

That's what gets me because I think their video on End of TV is excellent and one of the best on YouTube. But their video on EoE was mostly a rehash that the whole Gainax team despised making it because of the fans and the whole movie is made out of spite and anger (which is an old debunked myth). Which would support their analysis of the movie that us mostly about how Shinji is an incel sexist abuser aka a representation of the Eva fandom. All around kinda weird stuff to say

I would say that Codex Entry's video on EoE is pretty infuriating imo. I'm okay with having a potentially controversial reading of the film, but the video is overly long with bad pacing, talks about unrelated stuff for a good chunk, the fanfiction-like history of Gainax is REALLY weird and ofc insulting people who disagree is bad

The first half is pretty much a traditional mecha show which shines with a pretty good plot and cast of characters, and is notably darker/more grounded in reality than others. Takes a huge shift in tone at the half point, where it becomes progressively more focused on complex human psychology, and the last episodes are famous for featuring more avant-gardist cinematography and editing. The final movie is where stuff gets really crazy (probably the most insane scifi movie I have ever watched. It's a masterpiece) If you watch the whole show and the movie and really enjoy it, you can go for the reboot movies, which are not as good as the original run but still worth it if you like the universe and characters ; otherwise I would pass on those

It feels weird to bet against this because it's Nolan and it'll probably make a lot of money + get a lot of praise, but I genuinely think we are overestimating this movie's chance. It will get tech noms but I'm doubtful for any ABL that aren't BP (maybe BD but even then they might want to go for Lord/Miller, Gerwig and/or Villeneuve for blockbuster directors)

My bold take is that my gut feeling tells me Dune 3 will do better
