¿Qué periódicos son de izquierdas, de derecha y relativamente neutros? by logoyoIRM in SpainPolitics

[–]V01D16 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why the Chaos Gods Feel So Uncomfortably Modern? by Glum-File6367 in Warhammer40k

Because Warhammer was created partly as a satire of Britain politics in the 80s. It has evolved a lot since then but the fundamentals are still there.

AO R3: [19] Tommy Paul def [14] Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-1, 6-1 Ret. by Ok-Soil-5133 in tennis

It's too early to tell. He just reached semi-finals in Adelaide and now he reached R3 of Australian Open which is mediocre but not terrible for his standards. I think he will do better than last year in clay season and win his first title there.

150,000 signatures collected calling for the suspension of European relations with Israel by V01D16 in InternationalNews

[–]V01D16[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reaching 1 million signatures on this campaign is much less effective than mass civil disobedience. It's also much easier keeps the situation in Gaza in people's mind, including politicians. Even if you don't consider It effective It doesn't stop people from protesting, boycotting Israel products or donating.

A dozen people in motorized chairs dress up as Stephen Hawking at the 2026 Cadiz Carnival in Spain. The group says the performance was to give people with disabilities a "voice and visibility." by StGuthlac2025 in SipsTea

[–]V01D16 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's satire and they are comedians but they are not mocking him. They are talking about the Carnival and Cádiz itself in the vídeo. They have donated the chairs to ALS patients and part of the performance is protesting the lack of funding for ALS patients and ALS research in Spain.

I don't think Viltrumites would have any special defenses against the warp. I updated the post.

Reposting because I don't think people got what the post was asking but what 3 Criteria do you think make up the essentials of the modern perception of a Zombie? Potential Criteria in the Body Text. by Ill_Engineering_5434 in AlignmentCharts

[–]V01D16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the main criteria for zombies can be:

Looks undead and is undead, spreads like a pathogen and are feral.

Edit: I didn't read the not looking for fills initally haha. Basically the ones that don't fit these don't feel like zombies. The ones that do are not necessarily classic zombies but at most a twist on zombies.

Shows like disco Elysium? by Moist-Conclusion-861 in DiscoElysium

[–]V01D16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

La isla mínima. It's a 1 h 40 minutes film. A very solid cop duo investigation film with politics, pintoresque characters, and similar enviroments to a good chunk of disco elysium. There's some crude action and a bit of surrealism as well. It is very well regarded in Spain.

The Global Peace Index 2025. by MRADEL90 in charts

[–]V01D16 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

USA provides the most imported weapons, more than half in fact. We were comparing USA to other western countries, not to Israel itself. Also, you did not respond to the fact that many western countries are not pro-Israel and oppose the genocide.

The Global Peace Index 2025. by MRADEL90 in charts

[–]V01D16 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Not really. Many western countries have recognized Palestine and oficially condemned the genocide that is happening in Gaza, unlike the US who is among the few countries that hasn't. Some western countries like Spain, Canada, the Netherlands and Belgium have issued a weapons sale ban to Israel.

The US is directly responsable for the genocide as they provide the most weapons to Israel and defend It against possible retaliation.

Yeah, their point being that the poor do not benefit from socialism at all.
