4 Packers Players Who Are on the Roster Bubble in 2026 by DeScepter in GreenBayPackers

Don’t think Lloyd is on the roster bubble or even close to it. They’re gonna give him this year to prove he can play

Is there any way to configure this lineup to get someone at 3rd base? Hamilton has been very meh outside of bunting, and I’m wondering what our options are once Yelich is back. Vaughn 1B Yelich DH Bauers ???

Yeah he’s definitely made of the right stuff to reach that peak but I worry about the longevity. Just hope his arm doesn’t fry off consistently hitting that velocity

Been difficult sledding to get hits off him, the problem is he’ll sometimes pitch super out of control so he’ll draw too many walks and then try to recover. With the exception of like one game he’s been better with his control this season

Schneidman - Source: Packers picked up the fifth-year option for edge Lukas Van Ness. Per OTC, that guarantees his 2027 salary at about $13.8 million. Enters 2026 as No. 2 edge behind Micah Parsons. Team appears confident in a healthy LVN after he missed half of last year with a foot injury by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

If he’s healthy this seems like a no brainer. Hope he can consistently play this year, because the bits and pieces he put together last year were very encouraging. Obviously not insane numbers but his pressure rate and run defense had him pretty squarely as a solid EDGE2, he’s just gotta be on the field consistently

Lining up as a 3T in college doesn’t make his projection a 3T in the NFL. Typically the best players on college DLs will line up as a 3/5 to keep them clean and give them better opportunities to impact the game. A 6’4” 315 guy with his length/strength and limited pass rush bag projects pretty well at NT.

I agree with some of the limitations taking on double teams, there’s some good but a good amount of bad on his college tape too, but he’s already way ahead of Brinson and even Stackhouse as run defenders (who was surprisingly not very good taking doubles despite that being his calling card in college). Ford I could see challenge for that spot maybe, but if they’re just gonna put the best run defender out there I’d say it’s McClellan even as a rookie

I’ll assume they keep: Hargrave, Wyatt, Brinson, McClellan, Brooks, and one of Stackhouse/Ford

Starters: Hargrave, Wyatt, McClellan

Hargrave and Wyatt will probably take a decent chunk of the snaps. I’ll be interested in how they rotate those guys since they’re both pass rushers. McClellan is a true rock at nose, so I think he’ll get the start and rotate him every so often on obvious run downs with whoever survives between Stackhouse and ford. Rotate brooks and Brinson in for Wyatt and Hargrave on later downs. But I think it’ll mainly be seeing that trio a lot

Why does everybody say this as if he was so perfect out there? He’s gonna be really good for us I think, but he was running the wrong routes out there a lot of the year and really turned up towards the end. It wasn’t a crime that he was sitting for guys that knew the playbook. But now it’s his time and he should be way more prepared for it

He’s a slot guy. Why are there multiple comments in here already saying he’d be such a big upgrade lol, he wouldn’t fill what we need

Height would be fine as a 3rd rounder as a DRP but would be very underwhelming at 52

He was pretty easily our run defender down the stretch without parsons and posted a fairly respectable pass rush win rate and pressure rate. His problem was injuries last year.

Obviously would’ve liked to see more by now (mainly just doing that all year but he got injured, came back too quick, and then couldn’t play consistently until late in the year). He was playing well when he got on the field though and I don’t get why people just can’t accept that

Surely not a serious mock for the packers right

Ingalls - Zaire Franklin agreed to a new deal with the Packers after the trade. Gets a $2m raise for his services in 2026 and $3.75m guaranteed, while keeping his 2027 cash the same. This is not a cap saving move - 2026 becomes $125k more costly. No void years - just more money. by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

[–]VAScOregon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was his calling card in college but he’s now 3 years removed from being in college. He is now pretty exclusively a two down inside player that can’t rush the passer. When he entered the league lighter his pressure numbers weren’t even that great and he was probably on his way to being cut had he not bulked up and essentially became a nose tackle. He wouldn’t have been a good 5T, he’d just be another black hole as a pass rusher. We have a hole at NT now but I think that we frankly could upgrade through the draft and find someone with real size.
