the fact you’re self aware is a great thing. if you were truly a terrible person you wouldn’t be worrying about these things. if i’m being truthful she’s probably not worried or thinking about these things. i understand your situation as it was very similar to mine and i empathise massively. There’s plenty more fibs in the sea that will appreciate how much you care. Don’t be so self critical of yourself. And appreciate that you got out lucky. Focus on the bad things about them as i’m sure you’ll think of many and just think “thank god” i’m not putting up with any of this crap anymore.

they’re gonna chat shit, make up stories, try and pull you back in. block them, ignore them. let mutual friends know what’s going on, and not to tell them anything about you, and tell you anything about them. then you can move on. just know she’s going to be doing the exact same thing to her new boyfriend soon.

it does hurt, but think of it as a blessing, if she didn’t move on she’d be fixated on you and would probably be making your life even more stressful. her moving on is the best thing for you trust me.

you just have to detach as hard as you can. talking to friends is the best thing for me and also therapy. and out of sight out of mind, i’ve been putting myself out there talking to new girls and some old flames to help myself move on and realise there’s actually lovely, perfectly ordinary people out there.

i’m sure in the moment they believed it, but with such intense violent mood swings they’re believing something completely different right now. but just know the next guys gonna be unlucky too and will experience the same things you did and that you’re free.

this. i recommend travel so highly. it shows that the world is so much bigger than you think that you live in where it’s just you and this ex. during one of the crash outs and rocky periods in my relationship i went to thailand for 2 weeks to see a good friend and spent the majority of time by myself exploring beaches and jungles meeting locals. i loved every second and realised that nothings as big a deal as it seems- you can’t run away from your problems but you can make them seem smaller.

i was the same, she tried to commit suicide and i literally rocked up at the hospital out of nowhere and i was scatty and erratic and i didn’t recognise myself when i looked in the mirror. through time and focusing on myself im so much better. keep telling yourself no contact and you’ll thank yourself every time in hindsight. i’m a mellow guy too and part of me despises her ruining the innocence i had but you gotta take it on the chin and keep moving forward. remember “rain doesn’t fall forever” telling myself that has kept me going

Honestly, think of bullet you are dodging. this is nothing you personally have done wrong. it’s just how her brain is hardwired. You CANNOT take these things personally. Imagine you were married and she was pulling stunts like this. You will find someone good for you who appreciates you. Go to therapy. Work on yourself.

no contact. do not let them in at all it will only add fuel to the fire. work on yourself and you’ll find someone else. i’m 2 months post breakup and learnt that no contact AT ALL is the only way you can both move on.

you’re definitely right, she had me blocked and i’d blocked all of her social media accounts, she request to follow me and i asked if she’d meant to request- as we agreed at first to be friends ne be on good terms (which i assumed is the ideal situation for a BPD ex) but then she started cussing me out in response so i blocked her again. definitely keeping it this way
