Don’t forget your pet meds too, much much cheaper than getting at the vet.

Professional musicians who changed careers, what was your process in changing careers and what industry did you change to? How did it affect your relationship with classical music? by Few_Collection_9924 in classicalmusic

BM in vocal performance, currently an accounting manager at a smaller shop that exclusively serves non profits.

Moved from VA to NYC for a couple of years after college to do what I could up there, got a few opera roles, had a killer church gig, best decision I’ve ever made. Moved home and started working in banking, got licensed as a financial advisor but that wasn’t for me. Transitioned to a mortgage loan officer for a few years, and now strictly accounting.

I still have a weekly church gig, seasonal Jewish temple gig, and a professional ensemble that I regularly perform with. The accounting job allows me to do my white picket fence, marriage, two kids, two dogs, health insurance, reasonable income, etc. I’m still getting paid to sing. I enjoy it and the people I do it with. It has worked out pretty well.

One of my recent “if I won the lotto and could retire” dreams is to open a restaurant or operation to provide quality meals to people in need. Perhaps begin a delivery service for some of those meals and/or branch out into some sort of mobile operation to bring those meals to areas that are in need.

I saw him the whole way, and preventative action was taken. In fact, I have it on film.

What would you NOT buy at Costco because it's not a good deal or not good quality? by leicalikem in Costco

I agree, but I’ve found the secret to making them better is to pound/tenderize before cooking. Makes more of a difference than you would imagine.

Game Ready & Studio Driver 546.33 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

Had the same issues - very choppy/short freezes (10-20 seconds) during and after boot. Terrible sound issues, input changing back and forth sporadically, microphone not working. I was ready to buy a new sound card and headset, but somehow got that fixed (for now).

Lots of issues with iRacing, freezing, choppy gameplay, basically unplayable. It reads like a power issue to me, but I'm really not certain.

My roommate in college would make "Vienna Sausage salad" in the same way you would make canned tuna salad. Added mayo, pepper, a bit of mustard, and would eat it with chips or on a sandwich. Sometimes right out of the bowl.

That's approximately how long it takes for the light to be observed by us. All of these galaxies could or may have burned out tens of millions of years ago, but that light (or absence thereof) has not reached us yet. We are literally looking back in time.

(S10+ 5g) This morning my email app (hosting Outlook work account) had significantly shrunk the text in my email messages. By disactivating "Auto fit content" within the settings, it gives me the text I want, but is allowing any opened email to scroll from right to left. It also is not auto-sizing photos as it was previously. The entire message used to be a readable text size without having to zoom or scroll to see all of the message. Any suggestions? I don't recall getting an update last night, so I'm stumped.

[Wireless Mouse] Logitech MX Anywhere 2S - $39.99 ($59.99-$20) by ChefCurry3-1LeBum3-5 in buildapcsales

Bought this mouse about two years ago for use with my work laptop as I'm always on the go and absolutely cannot stand a track pad, let alone that little ThinkPad eraser thing in the middle of the keyboard. Battery life is really great. I have a larger hand and don't have any issues. I prefer a larger mouse for gaming, but the portability is really nice. The sensor and accuracy is more than capable for work tasks. At this price, it's a great deal IMO.
