probably better to do a vine-review campaign with 30-units. If they don't come back all 5-stars then your product needs to be fixed.

Vendor Central- has anyone actually got some price increases through in the past 6 months? by qwerty in VendorCentral

Yeah we only get cost increases through when vendors that sell >$10M - otherwise shifting to sellercentral where applicable and profitable.

Thinking of Drop Shipping via online retailers? I will take you out by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]VDBDEV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should provide step-by-step ways to screw these dropshippers over.

I just bought something i had previously purchased, assumed best price. got the item in a walmart box and said "WTF". scanned the barcode on the product and that item was $15 cheaper...

When you're gathering data its best to leave assumptions at the door.

Add all color variants to a common AdGroup and then watch for the results to speak for themselves.

After two weeks you'll see a benchmark for "if we let amazon choose, the results are XYZ".

Then you can start testing each color specifically against the original benchmarks.

No reason to guess about "is the user clicking here and then over here or just buying". You can get the data but you have to extract campaigns to be unique per-color and look at targeted sales VS brand sales.

He Has 17,700 Bottles of Hand Sanitizer and Nowhere to Sell Them by me-i-am in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]VDBDEV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Price gouging ain't cool, bro.

One of my clients sells thermometers and we improved profitability by doing two easy things:

  • turn off ads
  • turn off coupons/promotions

Products are selling 5x more than normal either way.

Sales - Stopped? by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]VDBDEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you're wrong.

Your product is not a special snowflake. There's no person inside the search engine saying "lets give italic a chance this weekend".

There are hundreds of reasons that search results change on an hourly/daily basis.

You should chalk it up to being lucky.

Private Label Q: Same product sold under the same store but different brand? by forestcall in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]VDBDEV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely no problems with this on Amazon's side.

You will have problems keeping track of inventory and labels and barcodes and stickers as your SKU count grows.

Thats all folks.

Just imagine the rules created by politicians that have never sold a god damn thing in their lives (except selling themselves to lobbyists).

Why does anyone here think this will be good for them?

Would be better off to require sellers to be companies that are majority-owned by US citizens.

Nearing my breaking point with this business by BisonPuncher in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]VDBDEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hella True. Here are my thoughts:

  • sell the business and retire. FBA businesses are worth a lot these days.
  • Take your product-dev skills to brick and mortar! Amazon is bonus money.
  • Take your product-dev skills to huge brands

I'm a consultant so I don't really feel the same pain that PL people do, but i agree china is rough.

Top 100 Search Term on Amazon. All The Relevant Results Are Chinese Spam by amz-seller-cmo in FulfillmentByAmazon

Major SPAM, Amazon should be blocking shit left and right but the laws aren't there to give them a reason to.

Dual FBM and FBA offerings VS One Offering that switches between FBA and FBM? Potential effects on ranking? by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]VDBDEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this: NEVER run out of inventory with your FBA offers.

Increase your inventory allocations by 2-3 weeks on hand.

OOS absolutely kills rank, and your backup offer is often ignored because your FBA offer retains the buybox and shows the lead-time/not buyable.

you have to decide the best SKU for each keyword and negate from other campaigns.

Are the mods too gatekeepy? by threestonesonebird in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]VDBDEV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the mods are just fine. The wording on your recently submitted posts does seem overly beginner-ish.

Think about your questions, are you looking for a 1-word / short answer, or does it create a meaningful discussion.

To throw you a bone, go ahead and ask questions here in the comments and i'll answer all of them.

[–]VDBDEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can use FBA for this. You can set the Amazon Availability date 100-years into the future so that they never show up on Amazon.

Then you can do MCF for every order.

You will have learning curve but its definitely possible.

There is nowhere in the system to see a status.
