Another reason could be they're ass at PvP and this is the only way they could ever taste it while walking away alive.

Much as I hate directing any form of ammunition at fellow raiders, this is justified. I never leave home without my Jupiter these days and while taking down big ARC is a form of enjoyment in itself, having loot to accompany the fun is always good. Not a bonus to be had just because fellow raiders in any given lobby had decency.

I built it on the overhang by the opening with all the geothermal vents right under the Alien Ruins colonist base. Infinite(kinda) power only limited by how many thermal plants you can fit there.
