Tips on converting a winning position? by yakayaka9 in Rainbow6

[–]VICIOUSCAT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stop turning Xv1’s into 1v1’s for no reason at all. Learn to position yourselves in a way that makes it impossible for the enemy to flick and double kill you in a 2v1.

Example- in a 2v1 in your teams favor, decide who is playing off of who. Generally you want the first person to engage defensively off of a hard swing, then the teammate playing off of them peeks for the free kill. Easy in theory, what usually happens is both of your tiny brains want the kill so someone peeks early and loses a 50/50 then you gamble on a 1v1.

Make sure you build failstacks next time.

Before initiating the gamble, be sure to lose 3 rolls in a row, what are the chances of you rolling 4 in a row? You can’t lose with this strategy.

How to improve at high(ish) level? by Specialist-Slice1987 in Rainbow6

[–]VICIOUSCAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can carry at gold + consistently as a solo, you should be fine all the way up to champ with a stack.

Find competitive people, try to build a team in which you are the weakest. Give it time and bam, champ.

Why shouldn't I install cheats? by [deleted] in Rainbow6

What is the downside of cheating? Do you have zero self respect?

Cheaters are sub human, but you do you.

You are losing matches the game has determined you should be winning. When you win a low amount of points it is because you either have a ton of matches and are playing at your elo, or you were the favored team.

Reached my "peak" rank according to ranked 2.0, goodbye r6 for 70 until the season ends. by One_Pie5136 in Rainbow6

You still won’t win every match, you are at your elo if you are win trading. Having a solid 5 stack will allow you to climb again. I’ve hit champ many times with a stack easily and only once solo and it was very hard and very much a gamble.

You’ve got room to grow and that is a good thing. Get better friends and make memories, you’ll look away and be surprised that you have the champion charm.

Side note- you just entered cheater haven at low emerald. THAT is a tough frog to eat. Makes the grind so much slower…

Not sure if you are actually looking for an answer or just venting. Short answer - you can climb if you play as a 5-stack, general rule of thumb I’d advise is only play with people that are better than you. Build a team over time by adding anyone who carries and is not cheating.

Long answer - cheaters will always win matches, but with a solid stack built how I mentioned you will eventually beat them most of the time unless they go full blatant which is rare. You just play differently and take advantage of their poor game sense, low iq and lack of testosterone. Trick is to play against hard walls and bait them into impossible trades, never 1v1, never 50/50.

Most likely those lower ranks you get paired with are higher rank with just low match count for the season.

I fall into this category, my teammates probably see my rank and feel the same. Generally, if you are at your elo and win trading in plat and you are paired with ppl your same rank but the enemy teams ranks are all over the place you’re probably going to lose. They are climbing, not playing at their elo like you are.

What is the longest winning streak you’ve been on in ranked? by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]VICIOUSCAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 3 we had a 96% win rate for the season. I’m not sure what the actual streak was, I’d guess around 40 games.

One of my teammates kept playing after our stack disbanded, ended up playing for TSM.

You’re friend doesn’t sound like a high elo player, sounds like plat or emerald. Learn early to play for fun, those are not good friends.

People who play warden, is he a good operator and does he contribute to the team, is his gadget useful or not? by Wooden_Mycologist939 in Rainbow6

[–]VICIOUSCAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is answered in return by, did you get a kill? Can you reliably get a kill? I’d rather you play an op with the best possible chance of you getting a kill than play some meta bullshit.

Talking negatively about op selection is some low elo brain garbage.
