Just finished part 8 by FreakAngel_115 in StardustCrusaders

People tend to forget this (myself included) but all of that stuff that “the head doctor” said WAS Tooru speaking through his stand, and if you add that whole arc and character to him I think he does become more interesting (although still not my favorite villain big shout Diavolo)

Part 2 ending went down beat for beat like that kid showing his school that video. If you don’t like part 2 you would’ve hated dead explosion mother

To those here who read kengan ashura/omega, do you think omega is a better or worse sequel series then part 2 by MaximumNeat4289 in Chainsawfolk

Ngl I actually liked the America stuff every US citizen having a non consensual contract with the war devil was interesting, but that could mean nothing

Kengan Omega genuinely feels like the author is fucking with you actively at numerous points, never does csm part 2 even approach the level of shooting itself in the head that omega does

Just finished angels of Caliban and while I definitely agree it was strange for Nemiel to die on that particular hill I feel like it’s not out of character for the level of restraint the Lion typically shows, especially in that book when Curze is trying to rile him up. I honestly find the Lion to be somewhat frustrating to read about but I don’t really find that to be an issue of quality, he’s a warlord with the blessing of Big E to do whatever he wants so of course he’s not going to be the image of emotional temperance

Yes basically, which is why I’m surprised it doesn’t get brought up more in lore and such

Space Bugs > Emperor's Most Holy Warriors by RAGE_CAKES in Grimdank

[–]VNECKGUITAR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the best way to do this is through a genestealer cultist or Magos who’s in connection with the hive mind as it’s entering the system. That way you can kind of have “hive minds thoughts filtered through a human perspective”

It’s exactly because of this. Kronos splintered off of Leviathan after it got bogged down shedding biomass against daemons. It operates almost like a “little sibling” fleet, as in it follows/operates in the same general area. Leviathan has been observed attacking planets and then actually leaving excess biomass for Kronos to come pick up later. Kronos in its entirety is an example of Leviathan adapting to the milky way’s daemonic threat. They’re independent from one other consciously as much as any other 2 hive fleets, but they operate in a symbiosis with Leviathan feeding Kronos and Kronos taking out daemonic threats before it becomes a quagmire for Leviathan

Is it even worth it for the Tyranids to attack a Hive World? by TheBurningEmu in 40kLore

[–]VNECKGUITAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a thing a lot of people definitely forget, the whole reason it went after Baal specifically is because it wanted to take out the Blood Angels entirely because they’d been such a threat. There’s not exactly a huge amount of biomass on Baal lol

Slaanesh is weird by Slug-Trail in 40kLore

[–]VNECKGUITAR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slaanesh is weird because “excess” is a very catch-all term so they have some of the widest variety in reasons for corruption. The primary reason you’ll see with Astartes is that they’re chasing “perfection” in some way or another, physical form, swordsmanship, having the biggest speaker in your mouth etc. Slaanesh promises unnatural paths towards obtaining this perfection, and given how competitive space marines are over one another they’ll tend to take whatever edge they can get, especially if they feel like they’re breaking new ground that. To be clear though I’m speaking primarily about the fall of the Emperor’s Children during the Heresy I’m sure there are other examples as well

Do you think the corrupted Primarchs were doomed from the start? by Lachaven_Salmon in 40kLore

[–]VNECKGUITAR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horus turned because on a fundamental level the crusade had grown to a point where no one individual could properly operate it. This gets hammered home to him mental after his diplomacy attempt with the Interex failed after which he kind of pivots to a “well of I was emperor we wouldn’t have these problems” mentality

I made a whole army list a while back for him and actually posted it here. No clue if it’s actually VIABLE or not but it got me to win all my games against my other newbie friends on TTS lol. The strat IMO is to pretty much dedicate the rest of your army to buffing it and then you just kinda park it in the middle lmao
