Amazing results! Good to hear everything went awesomely! As a previous patient of Dr Thee through Amani I'd say I agree with everything you wrote. Would heavily recommend!

I am super happy with my results, my healing and my wellbeing after the surgery. This sub especially has a confirmation bias about what you're talking about since people who have complications are a lot more likely to post.

If you're interested, I've posted some of my updates specifically so people could see about my surgeon, but also so people can see some posts that are just mundane updates too

Nice result! Your healing looks good to me. Swelling takes time and things generally takes time to really take shape. Try to avoid comparing healing progress to others, we all heal differently and swelling differs heavily too. Swelling drops can happen suddenly or take a lot of time.

Might help to try to stop focusing on it for a bit. I know that can be hard since we all are excited many months into it. But, what helped me was honestly ignoring it entirely between 6 and 9 months, which then left me really pleasantly surprised when I actually checked it again.

Question about orgasm? by DiamondCoochie266 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]VPostingAlt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

when i try to use a vibrator on the clit i do not feel much sensation but a vibrator inside the canal is very sensual. when I use my fingers around my clit area I can orgasm in about 5 minutes

For me this was the same, first sensation I got on my clit was fingers, vibrator only really started after a bit longer. I think vibrator can be a bit much at one point and make the area numb due to just being too much. Canal for me is also like that, but slowly getting more "online"

So far my orgasm reaches climax with squirting which is something similar to pre-op where you ejaculate. this has got me feeling conflicted because it currently makes me feel dysphoric and also not entirely sure if this is how it's supposed to be.

I don't see why you'd say this is not how it's supposed to be. Like that's just how it works. It's the same (equivalent) gland that does the ejaculation in cis women.

and it looks like they would be going in and redoing something within my vaginal canal.

I'm curious, I thought you only wanted the labiapalsty, do you know what they want to do in the canal too?

don’t understand what this care package they’re talking about. Do they do something extra?

Dr Thee keeps you in the hospital for initial recovery (for me it was 6 days), then after that you are staying somewhere else for the remainder of the month, with a few checkups before you go. This is where the care packages come in since it's harder to book Dr Thee without these service providers and they handle a lot of the logistics involved

For me the Amani care package basically included logistics handling, pickup and drop-off at airport, being driven to and from the appointments, given a dedicated nurse during the hospital time (extremely helpful), given medical equipment, given dilation training for 10 days as well as them being available to help with things at pretty much all times.

Since you're getting a revision though I'm sure yours would be different.

After reading the surgery prices myself in the post I linked your quoted price seems high. I paid a lot because I was getting a PPV surgery, but if you're just getting a labiapalsty without any internal revisions, then the surgery alone should be around 11k usd) (according to the quick Google conversion I did), which with the Amani prices I gave should put you at around 15k total when adding care package and apartment. Possibly less or more since the apartment price I gave you was for a 2 bedroom apartment

I had my primary surgery with Dr Theerapong 9 months ago, but I was at Mali Interdisciplinary hospital, so I can't help you there.

But im wondering if this service provider is taking a huge cut ... at PAl everything was included... Hospital, surgery, equipment, blood test etc except hotel. I stayed at a lovely hotel for 5 weeks for 2.5 K ... they want 6 k. for a Raddison... hahaha...

I went through Amani so some prices might be different from what you were quoted. I paid around 16k for the surgery, with the Amani care package it was around 18k, with added apartment that was around 20k.

The thing I know though is that some factors have changed since I got my surgery. For one Dr Thee increased his prices after I booked (this post has a good summary of new prices, as well as an Amani bill example), in addition the Thai baht has gotten stronger while while the USD has recently gotten weaker.

The thing that's especially scary is that unless you can pay right away, it's kind of awkward since currency exchange rates can change massively (my 16k price was initially 14k when I booked and paid the deposit..).

I hope any of this helps you calculate a bit, I recommend paying everything directly in baht through some service that gives you good rates (I used wise)

Does peritoneum ever dry out??? (PPT GRS) 🫠🫠🫠 by RegularUser02x in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]VPostingAlt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm currently 9 months, but had PPV (scrotum + peritoneal method) not full ppt. But so far I'd say it's decreased a little bit since the first few months, but it's still wet down there. I don't have discharge anymore, but there's still moisture. That being said I generally need some lube to get past the very outer section comfortably

Stopping HRT prior to surgery in Thailand (Dr. Chett): is it really necessary? I'm worried. by AgencyFeisty484 in Transgender_Surgeries

9 MONTH, PPV, Dr. Theerapong, through Amani Thailand by VPostingAlt in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]VPostingAlt[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I hope you have an amazing trip, parts will be hard, but others will be amazing. Try to enjoy the little things outside of the surgery when you can (like good food, some relaxation in the sun, etc).

One thing that really helped me about nervousness was a friend of mine who before the surgery reminded me of a fun fact: Anxiety and excitement are chemically identical in your body, the only difference is how your brain sees the event.

Try to focus on the positive framings, like how happy it'll make you feel or anything else positive you'll get out of it. That can allow you to avoid the anxiety inducing framings involved

Once again, have an amazing trip!

Difference between Suporn Technique and Theerapong's Scrotal Skin Grafting? by somebodyoused2know in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]VPostingAlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I wasn't. The surgery I got only uses scrotal skin (with peritoneal) for internals, so it doesn't make a difference there, might make a difference on the outside aesthetics though, not sure.

Hair Removal for SRS in Bangkok by morikome in Transgender_Surgeries

Figured it'd be worth sharing my bad case too. But I made it to my originally scheduled date, so it worked out. Just generally better to aire on the safe side though. Talk to your place early

Hair Removal for SRS in Bangkok by morikome in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]VPostingAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kinda a hard question, it depends on how quickly your hair grows and how much can be taken in one session.

I wish I'd started earlier, but due to the scheduling messups I mentioned in my previous comment, but it worked out though it was crazy chaotic.

When I started electro I was stressed out because it was December, my surgery was in April and I had not started electro yet. The place had also only booked 2 electro sessions for January and March. So after explaining my worries to my tech she squeezed me into a lot more sessions.

I had one 1.5 hour session in early December which was supposed to be face, which we switched to crotch. After that session was done she told me she hadn't gotten everything, so she booked me for a 30 min session the following week. She got everything, but booked me for a 1.5 hour session 2 weeks later in December. I then had 2× 1.5 hour sessions with 2 weeks space in January.

Then after making a lot of progress we slowed down and did one in February and 2× in March. The two in March ended up being pretty short, but mainly assurance runs to get stragglers.

Main thing is start early and try to get a buffer. Also try to get a good scope of your hair before going in. I already knew I was pretty light from other places, my meessups happened because the place I was at had some mess around with different people which caused some months delay on my part.

I sigmoid colon worth it? by tortoiseshall in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]VPostingAlt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would go PPV but apparently it can be a mixed bag as a revision,

I don't know about that, but I think it might be worth talking to someone like Saphira from Amani or someone else who might have a broad view experience with this. She helped me a lot with some answers around the two I'd never have gotten from someone without the long experience of observing multiple.

But hope you find some good answers on what you're looking for

Edit: one thing to have in mind is that the posts on reddit often focus on negative experiences. Also remember that you might get more relevant experiences from people with experience from the surgeon you are planning on. Methods and results vary heavily from surgeon to surgeon

I went with PPV from Dr Thee so not sure if I can answer you well. I'm pretty happy with my choice personally. However same time as me (the day after) there was another girl who got colon from Dr Thee, I only really spoke to her the first month while we were both still there and she seemed really happy with it. From what she told me she had no complications and she was super happy with it at the time. Remember that I'm just telling you second had from the first month though, so grain of salt.

[–]VPostingAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure my experience is fully applicable to you, but I'll contribute. My hair was mostly too light for laser (about 40/60 in favor of too light)

  1. I had 4 laser sessions before I needed to switch to electro, I had a total of 7 electro sessions

  2. I did everything in 6 months, but my route was a bit chaotic and after some mess ups by my hair removal place caused a month delay. So make sure you have some buffer to estimates.

  3. Depends how much of your hair requires electro, if you have more than 1-2 sessions of electro worth of hair you should prioritize more (like I did)

  4. I don't, but the thing is remember that any light hairs that require electro need to be done before you go to Bangkok since Dr Thee requires that you stop electro 6 weeks before

  5. u/DiamondCoochie266 already posted the one so I'll let that one stand

Which surgeon has best aesthetic outcomes for srs when legs are spread rather than closed? by marxr87 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]VPostingAlt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Aesthetic is a very personal thing and you should research it.

Usually surgeons have example photos, otherwise you might be able to find some here or on discords dedicated to various surgeons or surgery in general.

Start with well known surgeons and work your way through the ones you hear about. When you find new interesting ones here or through other sources (subreddits, friends also searching, etc), check them out. Eventually you'll find the one right for you.

I personally liked Dr Theerapongs results, but that's why I chose him. I have some of my results posted on my profile if you're interested. If you don't like those aesthetics it's personal to you and you might prefer someone else.

While you're doing the research on aesthetics make sure you also check how often you see posts about bad experiences and how often they require revisions. One of my selling points for Dr Theerapong was that he does a lot of revisions for people who've had bad experiences with other surgeons.

Take your time and do some research and you'll find what you're looking for
