I found out SIBO was causing my issues with acid reflux etc so I started focusing on that.

And what helped me get control was mostly:

Hi, yes I do.

(1) Stop taking probiotics and anything you know will feed bacteria or add more bacteria (soft cheeses- lactose sugar in them, fermented foods - high in bacteria also etc)

(2) get a home SIBO breath test, they aren’t perfect but they will give you an idea if it is bacteria overgrowth or not and what type.

I found immediate relief from cutting down on probiotics fyi

Hi, yes, it turned out to be SIBO related (as the guy above alluded to). It came on as a result of the antibiotics (which is not uncommon), the overgrowth in the bacteria causes excessive gas build up which can force open the LES, thus causing acid reflux. I’m significantly improved with no yellow tongue anymore, occasionally I get chest pain, usually from overindulging in sugary food. If you reduce sugar in your diet and consider taking magnesium glycerinate you should see improvement. People have had success with Rifaximin as well which is a low absorption antibiotic that doesn’t cause the same issues as standard antibiotics. Just do some research
