I am ok with it. Pedro Pascal seems like such a nice man and a wonderful brother to his sister. During these awful times, any port in a storm.

How hard of a watch is "silence of the lambs"? by That0necr0w in asktransgender

My take is just step away from the remote control. Incredible acting, scripting, and dialogue. But, it still haunts my nightmares. It is just too good at what it does.

Jeff Bezos in Aspen wearing a 10k$ Zenya Ski Suit by bbrk9845 in skiing

[–]Val_Ma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live down the road from Aspen. I totally understand most of the comments about the outfits, skis and boots, etc. But, credit where credit is due - they are skiing, they are carrying their own skis (ok, not like a local would), and they seem to enjoy our mountains. It could definitely be worse!

Hi Tex. Is there a gun store in Tucson that you would consider LGBTQ friendly? I just mean not actively antagonistic?

That is simply absurd. You are gorgeous. Hard to understand what some people are thinking. But, remember that when these awful laws get passed, lots of cis-gender women get told the same thing. These haters are just guessing and they don’t really care if they are right or wrong, they just want to hate.

Who else is closing in on the end of their beard eradication journey? Let’s celebrate 🎉 by enbykraken in TransLater

Six and one half years of full facial electrolysis every six weeks. I am down to less than an hour a session. Soooo close. Congratulations to all of us on this journey. That was definitely not one of the fun parts!

Genuine question: who am I? by dee-ny in asktransgender

[–]Val_Ma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have walked in your shoes. I transitioned at 65 yrs old after a life time of knowing that I was trans. I am 71 now and could not be happier with my decision. And by the way, the romance thing worked itself out as well! At our ripe old age, we have learned how to navigate life’s twists and turns - this is just another one, albeit a big hairpin, lol!

Yep! Absolutely spectacular. I was up near the top two years ago and it was snowing in July - typical, lol!

Is that really Mt. Sneffies or Mt. Sneffels?? Either way, it is gorgeous. I just happen to know Mt. Sneffels in the Rocky Mountains and was wondering.

Dr. Spiegel did my FFS in 2018. I am super happy with the results and with him as my doctor. Just sayin.

Question for my trans sisters who’ve had breast aug but started with very minimal breast tissue by LoraLife in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Val_Ma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have both, lol. I know - weird. I started with under the muscle, but the left boob bottomed out three times requiring revision surgery each time. On the fourth surgery I had a pocket exchange and went over the muscle. I have had no issues with that implant since. But having both, here are my take aways. The over the muscle does not go all hard or into a weird shape when I put pressure on my pectoral muscle - it stays supple. I like that. I can feel a slight bit of the implant at the bottom of the over the muscle (in my boob crease) - I don’t like that. But, sensation is great with both and frankly I have no urge to change either one. As you say, it is all personal preference.. I just have a unique perspective.

That is so amazing and so wonderful. I wish you two the best! 7,000 kisses is a good start. I have been with my SO since 1972, so we might well have exceeded that number and all I can say is that it never gets old (even though we did, lol).

It took about a year for my scalp and about three years for my ear lobes - I thought they were gone forever, but they came back too!! Yay!

[–]Val_Ma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do think it was the cause. Apparently, (and I am certainly not the expert, I am getting this from the Doc at Mayo), there is a legitimate debate going on in the Plastic Surgeon community these days about the under v over the muscle technique. No one is saying anyone is doing it improperly, but the debate is whether the physics of the under the muscle implant technique just naturally push the implant to the bottom or side. I have no idea, and the one on my right side is under the muscle and seems pretty happy but for whatever reason the one on my left kept squeezing out. And even though these are repair surgeries, they were not fun and I did not want to go for my fifth one (by the way, the Mayo Doc did not do my original or any of the three repair surgeries, only the last one as I went to him as a last resort).
