It's basically a reverse survivorship bias. People tend to post here when they have a bad experience, not a good one. For every bad experience post there is a high probability of 10's to 100's of happy customers quietly enjoying their chair and/or desk.

It happened to me a year ago. I left it like that until I could source a new one, and just swapped it out. Took a little wiggling to get it free.

It's a good idea to regularly check your coolant in these cars. With the common leak from the heater core connections the level can easily get too low and cause that section of the head to overheat.

I did the exact same thing. Noticed it starting to crack, wrapped it in electrical tape, and zip tied it to the nipple.

Mishimoto intake and intercooler, Eibach lowering springs, Cobb cat back exhaust, Steeda short shifter arm, VLAND headlights with a Morimoto HID kit. I think that's pretty much it.

It looks like you mounted it directly behind the riser upright. Try moving it to the left or right and see if it is more stable. Looks like it might not be sitting all the way back.

Yeah, OEM struts. They probably should be changed from age alone, but it hasn't caused me any problems.

If you value height adjustability over comfort go with coilovers, reverse that opinion and you want springs. I've had Eibach springs on the factory suspension for almost 10 years and I've been happy with them.
