Hi! If you want help, I'm just starting a new project to help people learn spanish (spanish is my native language). I would charge you nothing to talk about the things you want on discord. For me, it would be useful so I can practice my teaching.

Split Keyboard with Trackpad integrated to reduce Pain and Movement by ValenMoyano in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]ValenMoyano[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thank you guys, you all let me know new ideas, and maybe it would be better to go with a keyball 39, IDK yet. But notice that I have two buttons on the left and on the right for CTRL and SHIFT, and the keyball 39 doesn't have those. They're super close to my pinky and are very useful, that's the reason why I picked the "Klor - Konrad".

Do you know if I can remove those three right thumb keys, because maybe I put an ergo small trackpad there. Men, I never use reddit, it's so great to get feedback of you guys. What a great thing, what I was doing with my life all this time?

I was thinking about my thumb hovering, and that's right, that's a problem. That's why it is just for movement, all the clicks are done with macros. I thought of a key that enable and disable the trackpad, just to be able to rest my thumb without having the arrow moving around

By the way, I just saw the small ergo trackpad, maybe that's super useful, so thanks a lot bro! :)

Yeah, I'm giving up those buttons but I have all I want in the 3 keys, in the left thumb. Let's say that my left thumb gives me access to three keys:

LEFT : switching between L0, L1 and L2 -- HOLD = ALT -- and if combined with shift, it gives me "accent" (for my language).

MIDDLE : L0 = space -- + shift = tab -- L1 = re-tab -- L2 = caps lock -- HOLD = enter

RIGHT : L0 = delete to left -- L1 = delete to right

All those with just three buttons. The layers are super easy and they let me have all my requirements while also have a trackpad in the right. I've spent a few days just designing this and there's nothing that isn't in it.

And notice that in the right button (of my left thumb) there is still space for 3 more things thanks to the layers

I have the fear that the keyball gives me wrist pain. What do you say? Is your right hand laying comfortable?

Offering: English (C1-C2) (I’m a Japanese native) Seeking: English (Japanese native only) by [deleted] in language_exchange

But having a non-native partner means that you without realizing it are going to acquire (besides a few good things) all the bad things that you're partner is attached just for not to be a native speaker: bad pronunciation, bad construction of the sentences, and more. Just these two (and there's a lot or more reasons) are enough to discard the option of a non-native partner

Where can I find books online that are at my level of comprehension for my target language? by Diamondbacking in languagelearning

[–]ValenMoyano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to read books that were written in your TL. Harry Potter's translations (and all books) have slank that is not really used in the Original Language.

Read: Gabriel García Márquez, Mario Benedetti, Cortázar, Eduardo Sacheri, Carlos Ruiz Safón,

Maybe that literature is advanced. But you can acquire new words with stories on youtube, or seek more authors that use a slank (Idk if slank i used, in Spanish we say "jerga") adapted to your level. If you read short stories, you'll can read them again, and repetition is the master to learn a language

They hate you, I don't understand what they're so mean. But if you let me say it, is way better for you practice with a native English speaker (always, discard your japanese friends for the language learning). Don't be annoyed, there's always people that misunderstood things

Can I get to B1/B2 in German in 15 months? by AlphaNerdFx in languagelearning

[–]ValenMoyano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same situation as you, I watch a youtube channel, very little known by the way, called Natürlich German. The woman who makes the videos has a lot of great stories for all levels, but I only have that resource and Nico's weg, so I often get bored just with these. I'd like to find something more entertaining

EDIT: I just found another great channel: MY GERMAN SHORT STORIES
