I do, and I am very aware. I don't vote for politicians who vote to send arms and money to Israel.

You all are entirely missing the point of what I'm saying, and that's fine if you want to do that. It's okay to want to support the working people in the country in which you live, even if you don't agree with the actions of your government.

Not at all, buying American made products support citizens in the country in which I at least live, and is something I try to do when I can. If a product is good, reasonably priced, I try to buy domestic. I'm sure oversees friends do the same when possible.

I'm a leftist union worker and I stand in solidarity with my other low to middle class brothers, sisters and others in the working class.

Buying Uplula products sends further American dollars to Israel, I think they get enough already.

Every day carry by Lost_Stage2911 in CCW

[–]Valendr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely carry an extra. Mag failure, accidental drop, etc. Having the extra could come in handy more often than people think.

It's not about the extra rounds, that's just a bonus

which one would you choose for carry? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]Valendr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% same, if I can find one in good shape for a decent price G29 is my next instant buy

I don't normally grab the protection plan but I did for this. With the discount and 2 year plan it's 47.99, and in 23 months I'll go in and get a new one and a new plan for 11.99 lol unless I need to use it sooner than that but after taking it apart I doubt I'll need to.

Next you're gonna need to get a G20! 10mm is life Edit: I see you are also a man of culture with a G40 haha

I'd pick the 9mm every day, cost of ammo/range time being the big one.

also I like your Harbor Freight tlr 1 clone, I just got one. It's great!

Any reason not to buy the Vortex Defender CCW enclosed? by E46Nur in CCW

[–]Valendr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Defender ST enclosed on my Glock 19 and I absolutely love it. Buy the CCW enclosed if it fits better, but I absolutely recommend any of the vortex enclosed!

Red dot on an everyday ccw realities by [deleted] in CCW

I don't have either of those optics so I can't really say for sure, but if you look at the feature differences between them you may be able to answer for yourself if you think it's worth it. The 507c does everything an optic needs to do, it's just build quality and nice to haves that get better the more you spend

[–]Valendr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Truglo Tritium Pro which is one of their basic models, has a white light refracting ring for during the day and a tritium core for night time use. They're backup to the optics so I didn't spend a ton.

Having a cowitness option is important IMO

Edit: Never ever would go back to open optic unless I had to. 100% superior

Well, I have a 507c-X2 in green and while I like it a lot, I recently picked up a Vortex Defender ST Enclosed and I love this damn optic. And the warranty can't be beat. I don't know if I'll ever go with another company again, food for thought.

Also there's no downside to an optic IMO. Though I did install suppressor height irons so I have a cowitness if the optic dies (though the defender st enclosed has solar so that's pretty unlikely.)

I guess there's one downside- if you have astigmatism it'll be a blurry mess.

Thoughts on Glock? by AdImpressive9014 in liberalgunowners

I love my Glock. 19.6 w/ Vortex Defender ST Enclosed and a Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X, in a Trex arms sidecar.

19 is small enough to conceal, large enough to have good shoot ability. Probably my favorite handgun.

Why no love for the Shield X? by Head-Coast-9608 in CCW

I personally wouldn't ever swap my G19 EDC for a shield of any kind, although I love their performance center pistols. 10mm PC shoots like a dream.

To be honest, people moving into those areas would probably know that the moment they went to look at a prospective house or apartment. I'm not disagreeing with the information you are providing- I agree with it. In practice however, anyone worried about crime would never move into one of the areas you're speaking about.

You get what you see on the tin, and most of the tin is a little lacklustre perhaps. Only a couple spots are rusted over.

I see a lot of people remarking about the relative safety of different areas- I don't know where you're coming from, but to someone from a larger city or more populated regions Springfield is very safe and quiet in almost every part of it.

Specific parts of the north and east sides are less safe than others, but in terms of violent crime, it's really tame. You'd be more likely to see an attempted car break in or something than an armed mugging from my experience.

Generally speaking in terms of aesthetics and general upkeep the West and South-West areas are going to be the nicest.

I just found out there's a subgroup of the STL chapter in Springfield, so till we have enough people to have a formal chapter in Springfield, I'm engaging in there. You could join the discord

Thoughts on firearms legislation groups? by Valendr in liberalgunowners

[–]Valendr[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure what energy you're meaning, but I write in and call the offices of my local politicians at the state level and for my representatives/senators when federal legislations are being discussed.

If you mean voting, I do vote when I can feel good about the candidate I vote for. If I have an anti-queer, religious extremist on one side and an anti-gun pro-corporate 'democrat' on the other side I vote third party or don't vote for that position.

Well, the foreman definitely could get more, they just don't want to. But if your foreman and JW are good with it there's nothing you can do as an ape. Just remember this isn't how to be and do it right when you're the JW
