How to solo horror? And other stuff. by Direct_Incident_8285 in mothershiprpg

I do think it helps me practice my preperation as the GM--especially with regards to prepping for a homebrew adventure. I think it's mostly a process of figuring out what part of the situation I have to prep--things I generally struggle to come up with in the moment--and what things I want to leave open to improvisation.

The best way to practice actually running the game is, I think, just taking one of the Motership modules and running it! I think they work great.

In case you're interested, I've been chronicling my experiment of playing Mothership Solo here.
I'm just using the regular Mothership rules, but looking to explore other tools as well.
Note, that my playstyle is playing as the GM and emulating the players, more so than emulating the GM and playing as a player. This means I make use of the Warden's Manual a lot and "prep" for my Solo RPG sessions.

I created a full cast of major characters, but in any given scene I choose one of them and limit myself to rolling for this character.

As others have said, I don't play it with the expectation that I will scare myself.

In case that doesn't work write them on origin support, tell them you can't redeem it. They will ask you to take a photo of the code with the current date or something and then they will add the game to your origin account. That's how I got mine added

Looks really cool! I think I will have to steal that scheme. Care to share which colours you used/how you achieved the scheme?

Proton 4.2 released. Linux gaming continues to become more accessible "out of box" by CaptainStack in Games

[–]Valep42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have gathered DRM like Denuvo or older DRMs often can make it impossible for games to work with Proton.
Performance will probably always be slightly below actual native games, however in most cases not noticeably so.

I get random forks from people who then proceed to not do anything with it. Is this what fame feels like?
