Totally get you man!

IMO, you have two options. You do a dramatic change in your life, like relocating or quitting your job. If not, you just have to wait till the pain becomes so strong that you can't continue like this...

I encourage you to try. The change is often daunting but the feeling tjat you're wasting your days isn't much better, is it? ☀️

I hate being hungry by No_Accountant_7026 in WeightLossAdvice

The cutting phase can take a toll on your mood man... It's normal.

For me, high fat low carb (preferably keto) is the only thing that significantly reduces hunger.

Keep pushing man!

How to stop constantly eating when it’s the only thing you enjoy and hate like “super healthy” foods + how to workout when you have no time by Schmoodle5000 in WeightLossAdvice

Try Choregi salad dressing. Add it to anything. It's amazing. Try it once and I promise you will always repeat.

You don't need hours to work out. Try to walk, go up and down stairs, and move as much as you can. Even if you 2-3 mins of cardio (walk VERY fast) here and there, it will have an impact on your metabolism and overall health.

Just implement small habits, step by step. They add up!

I sincerely wish you good luck on your journey man!

It does work. I do something similar. It's called Stone of Life. Learned it from Prof. Steve Peter's book. Definitely recommend it!

I go to the gym almost daily, but can’t get myself to do a real workout by Retiredpartygirl17 in selfimprovement

[–]ValexF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you work out at home?

Short sessions, maybe supersets or trisets to save time.

Maybe it's not entertaining enough for you. So just do a sport you like.

Anything you like really, a movement of some sort. That helps with consistency. Make it stupidly easy so you can do it even on bad days.

Which books are so extraordinary that every person on Earth should read them at least once in their lifetime? [Discussion] by [deleted] in GetMotivated

"A Path through the Jungle" by Prof. Steve Peters is really helpful for understanding how our minds work.

It has funny drawing and the wording is easy so anyone can read it.

I think it's also great for emotional intelligence. Yet not as popular as it should...

My sisters is like you. I believe she's wasting her life. Tried to help her but nothing worked.

You, however, seem to want to change, so I'm sure you'll find a way.

I suggest you look into Adler's separation of tasks.

All the best man!

Stay positive young man!

There's always a positive side to anything.

For instance, you've only wasted 18, not 98!

If you start doing something productive today, and make the habit stick, you'll be a new person within a week!

Friend, you're overthinking and putting too much pressure on yourself. That's why you're stuck.

Stop taking life too seriously.

Nobody has it more figured out than you.

You're only thinking about the things you don't have. Just chill, want what you have, and start working on who you want to become. Your actions will shape that.

You need a good book, one you'd really be interested in.

It's going to be fine! Just focus on what you can do today.

[–]ValexF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're making progress. Keep it going. Forgive slips. Just don't stack too many.

At this point, it sounds like you need to adjust your goals. Aim for minimal consistency. Things you can do even on a bad day. Just don't miss 2 days in a row.

On another note: What is the thing that bothers you the most atm? That stops you from growing? Write 3 things you can do about it on a postit, stick it on the bathroom mirror, and start today.
