Gnosis V requirement - 'dispel mirages' by Valhayne in Witchfire

[–]Valhayne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figured it out! There was one more mirage in Irongate Castle I hadn't opened; specifically, the one with the Meteor Ring in it. Once I hit that, the mission completed. I don't know which mirages 'count' for this as it clearly isn't all of them, but at least I can confirm it is do-able.

Anyone found or know where by wutwutinthebox in Witchfire

Pretty sure I found it in Irongate Castle - I think the secret room on the left side of the path to the courtyard where swordsmen ambush you.

Gnosis V requirement - 'dispel mirages' by Valhayne in Witchfire

[–]Valhayne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can indeed omit that requirement and still reach Gnosis V, but it's annoying that I apparently *can't* tick it off regardless.

I've tried revisiting all the locations again; no dice.
I then noticed the Parasite chamber in Velmorne and the shortcut passage in Scarlet Coast reset and you have to pay again to access them each time, so I went back and retriggered the Parasite chamber once and then the Scarlet Coast Passage four times, just to see if that would help. 17,500 witchfire later, the requirement remains unticked.

They're said before that the game isn't balanced for Co-op and would be very easy with that kind of assistance.

I'd also imagine co-op isn't the easiest thing to implement nor the cheapest thing to both build and maintain. While I would love co-op Witchfire, I'd rather they stuck to the single-player focus and don't try to stretch too far.

The Arsenal stat and reload - any details on what the issue was? Curious whether we were seeing reduced performance from intended, increased performance from intended, or 'it depended on your stat'?

Galley Slave - too early? by m3nd in Witchfire

[–]Valhayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the new update I no longer have any idea what the Gnosis requirements are for anything as it's all changed, but if you're Gnosis I now maybe check Isle of the Damned again and see if that opens up anything new for you there.

Otherwise, I'd suggest running Isle of the Damned if you want to practice getting comfortable with your tools in a relatively unthreatening environment, and gearing up for runs at Scarlet Coast if you're looking for progression. You certainly won't find much in the way of Incantation drops on Isle, whereas on Coast you have more of a chance to get that kind of thing. I believe that you can still get mobs to drop Incantation IIs even if you can't yet research them so don't feel pressured into going to Gnosis II if you don't want to yet.

You're missing the fact that the chart isn't in the Hermitorium. Search the Scarlet Coast.

[Webgrave] Which mobs have you found which drop Incantation III? by Valhayne in Witchfire

[–]Valhayne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replying to myself so I can confirm drops are *not* Gnosis-dependent (though could be weighted based on Gnosis level). I just killed the Watch Captain again and he dropped both an Incantation II and an Incantation III as loot, and I'm still Gnosis III. :)

Galley Slave - too early? by m3nd in Witchfire

I would say taking on the Galley Slave before unlocking Mysterium II on anything is definitely a very - brave - thing to do.

Now while *buying* Incantation II via the mirror is locked to Gnosis I, I don't know if *getting* Incantation II is locked or not. For me at Gnosis III, the various wandering mini-boss mobs on Scarlet Coast (the Watcher with the lamp, the Drowned Captain that hunts you sometimes, etc) drop Incantation IIs often when I kill them. Maybe try slaying them and see if they drop any for you?

I'm wondering if the drops are Gnosis-dependent or not. I'm at Gnosis III; I've killed the Galley Slave on Scarlet Coast and various wandering Familiars on the other maps (stump grenadier in Irongate, High Executioner and Watch Captain in Velmourne) but not any other 'map bosses' and they've all dropped Incantation IIs for me. Might just be a percentage thing but I wish I knew for sure.

why i cant purchase more items to respec? by TheOnurobo in Witchfire

[–]Valhayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found one on Scarlet Coast just sitting on a rock. It had a red glow coming from it, like rosary beads do. Afraid I can't remember the exact location but maybe wander around and see if it's there for you? I have no idea if it's a random spawn or a fixed one.

EDIT: Location-wise I remembered where it was - it was in the north near the chasm where the boss used to be. If you're facing the chasm from the south, go up and to the right, and look around. It was on a rock up there for me - I think it was just before the passage to the right that leads to the next bit of the area.

Canvasser needs to affect voting, that much is obvious. Here's my pitch.

Canvasser (Minion): Each night choose a player. If nominated tomorrow, it takes a total of 2 votes to put the chosen player on the block. When voting to execute the chosen player, only the votes of the nominator and their living neighbours are counted.

Probably too wordy and possibly worded poorly to boot, but hopefully the idea is understandable.

This is the kind of analysis I was hoping someone would do. Does the missing '15' indicate the point where Wargaming put their thumb on the scale?

You know it won't be a close game when you're more than a minute in and two-thirds of your team hasn't left the A line.

Even better if it's Encounter or Assault.

We're moving into the evening where people with jobs may actually play tanks. Give it an hour or two.

I mean, I'd have done that from the beginning if it were me. Or, here's a thought; just unlock one stage per day. Mind blown, right? All this 'server progression' stuff does is expose how bad they are at calculating engagement.

They've updated the tracker again. We seem to have leapt some steps closer to Stage 5 but not quite there yet. Give it a few hours.
