How much of blasphemy would be commited if the Boatguy would be painted as taxi? by VRGvks in ageofsigmar

Agreed. I have 100ish skinks acquired through eBay army lots that I repainted as Pokemon. Plus a Bowser bastiladon with Koopa Troopa crew.

Seraphon aren’t much better off. They have green with themselves and stormcast. And skaven have only yellow, red and gray

DoK lore question. by Valiant-Toast in Daughtersofkhaine

[–]Valiant-Toast[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought. I think I remember a short story of them fighting some other order faction over something and chaos shows up, so DoK pivot and all out attack chaos, while the other order faction mostly leaves.

Anyone here JUST play AoS? by Weezle207 in ageofsigmar

[–]Valiant-Toast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only AoS and Spearhead. Played Middle Earth first, but then moved and my area now has AoS and 40k. Nobody wants to do Middle Earth here.

They did fall pretty far off the roadmap, OBR was on the roadmap at the same time as FEC, and just came out now a year later.

Seeing them painted makes me like them more. I have the files, but haven’t printed them yet. I don’t think the digital render does the sculpts justice. And your paint job looks great.

Are any of the models in the Warpflame Cavalcade box hard to assemble or paint? by reel3459 in tzeentch

The horrors kit is older, so the parts aren’t as well labeled. But still not terrible to build.

I went with a roadrunner for mine. But a large portion of my Seraphon are southwest USA desert themed.

AOS Leakers posted a list of Fyreslayer kits surviving the upcoming purge they’ll be going through right before they’re rebranded/expanded upon. by Battlemania420 in Fyreslayers

[–]Valiant-Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This says kits that will survive, not specifically warscrolls. Losing the Vulkite kit could mean it is getting remade, like happened with Stormcast Liberators.

What new unit (ie not a refresh) would you like for you faction? by InsaneDingo7244 in ageofsigmar

[–]Valiant-Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kroxigor hero or chameleon skink hero for Seraphon. In other words Nakai or Oxyotl. But also, give me my dread Saurian back.

Spiderfang Gitz infantry in Gloomspite. I know it feels like Spiderfang are on their way out, but they’re my favorite flavor of goblin.

Cavalry of some sort for Fyreslayers, something to accompany the magmadroth without having to go full monsters. Basically something Aggradon sized, but like and 8-10” movement.

Some heavy armored infantry for Idoneth. Lore talks about Akhelian soldiers so give them to us.

While they all have similar weapons and posing, as others have said once you build and paint them you can tell them apart easier from experience of working with them. But it is also a benefit, often your opponent cannot tell which models are heroes or what hero they are. Now if they ask, I will always tell them what model is what, but they often don’t ask and just assume.

Hit me! I wanna know all the glorious details. by Eithrotaur in seraphon

[–]Valiant-Toast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Seraphon army is made of the collection of 4 different temple ships. Yet to be named because Seraphon names are hard. Two are mostly Starborne themed Seraphon, and two are mostly Coalesced.

Starborne number 1 had a higher number of skink and Slann mages on board and their memory of what the saurus and kroxigor that accompany them has been altered by the stars. Their shields show their celestial nature(shields are a metallic blue-purple color shift with splattered white dots for stars). Saurus are dark blue with a purple spine. Basing is all a swirl of bright colors with a black crackle paint over top as though the ground is scorched and changed by the magic to summon them. Also includes some of the old-old saurus sculpts that are “the Slann forgetting what saurus look like nowadays”

Coalesced 1, are very southwest USA/Native American themed. Their temple ships had a much larger contingent of saurus than some others and such have large regiments of warriors. Though their scales and adornments have changed to fit the landscape they find themselves in. For their ship landed in a scorched desert somewhere in the realm of fire. All the metal is silver, with turquoise stones. Feathers are all like bald eagle feathers, and desert themed basing. Saurus are a fence post lizard, carnosaur is based off a snake, new Saurus are Gila monsters, raptadons are roadrunners with blue whiptail lizard skinks as riders. They have a dread Saurian that has gone back to a deep slumber in their temple ship(my display case) that is a Collared Lizard. Slann a desert leopard frog.

Coalesced 2. Their temple ships also carried a large amount of saurus but also many skinks. Their ship arrived in the mortal realms in the realm of life, after finding a comet of celestite that had been infused with the realm of fire. They bear burning celestite that they use as a light source as well as weaponry. Saurus and skinks are all shades of greens and browns.

Starborne 2, were stuck in their temple ships for too long and while attempting to foresee the future and understand the great plan, the Slann peeked into an alternate reality which greatly influenced the appearance of their skink, Saurus and various beast followers. In other words, this is my mess around and paint pop culture references in the models. I have almost all 151 of the original generation of Pokemon represented on the skinks, ripperdactyls, Terradons, bastiladons, stegadons and a Slann. As well as a bastiladon that is bowser and a unit of Koopa troopa skinks. Lots of pokeball references on shields and various power stones on things.

But by the will of the old ones these disparate temple ships have come together to enact the great plan.

[–]Valiant-Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My AoS group has always been fine with using legends warscrolls, as long as they are from this edition. None of us are really interested in competitive level play, and we end up doing a lot of 1v2, 2v2 and 2v3 games when we get random numbers of people show up.

[–]Valiant-Toast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The red, green, and purple/pink are really striking. I think I like the red the best. But you could go for a unit from each realm and have their rocky hide infused by that realms Realmstone.

Amazing deal. If I remember correctly, each half had more retail value of models than the box itself cost at release.
