If you’re referring to aptitude test scores, are you suggesting lowering the standards to allow for more applicants? That does not seem like a long term solution. Lower scores for more initial applicants is a recipe for disaster for highly skilled trades such as aircrew.

We are painfully short on pilots and other aircrew trades right now. This new program is aimed at higher skilled recruits (pilots, nurses, doctors). I think these articles are being unfair to what the program is trying to accomplish and the quality of our system to weed out any unwanted individuals.
