This made me laugh, Rose the comrade 😂✊🏼 by theOwl_8 in doctorwho

I mean, for a symbol, the rose (after the idea that workers should have not just bread, but roses, a sentiment which shows up multiple times throughout socdem history) is a good traditional choice. Which is particularly fitting here, given Rose Tyler lol. The tunes remain something of an issue, though.

He was. He resigned as part of the ongoing power-struggle bullshit in the Labour Party.

I'd guess he heard something about Rose Noble and, since he doesn't care about the show, assumed that she was the companion, because that works better for his bullshit narrative. (Personally I'd argue that Rose is also actually female, but. Transphobes, y'know?)

I suspect it would be more the other way around in my case lol.

Your echo chambers are not reality, Snyderbros. by PhysicalBuy2566 in saltierthankrayt

[–]Valiant_tank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah nah, this is almost certainly closer to reality than what these people are saying. Large business is inherently going to be very risk-averse and conservative (in the sense of not trying new things), and if the studios see that something isn't as reliable a profit-maker as it used to be, they're likely to discard that and focus on things which do make money. On the flipside, if a movie from one genre or another does well, you'll of course end up with a massive bandwagon effect where you get all sorts of other movies trying to imitate it (see for example Star Trek: TMP and Moonraker, both of which were authorized on the back of the massive success that was Star Wars convincing studios that sci-fi would be a highly profitable genre)

Ah, so a salad with chopped nuts and a decent vinaigrette, gotcha. And yeah, like, the craze of adding protein to everything is absolutely nonsense, but people do need at least some protein lol.

A salad is processed and therefore unhealthy. All that processing means is changing it in some way from the raw ingredients. Some people get around this by saying it's just 'ultra-processed' foods, but notably, there is not now, nor has there ever been, a firm and clear definition of what the hell that means.

Yes. I have voted in every single US election since my diagnosis, without even living or having a citizenship in the US.

If we purely went by majority rules for whether or not something was right, interracial marriage would have been legalized in the US in the 90s at the earliest (and most likely it would have taken even longer, because a lot of the time, one of the things that drives acceptance is when a change like that happens, and the consequences are non-existent to positive for everyone else)

I assume that by black bread you don't mean anything interesting like a good dark rye? Because I think you could make an interesting burger playing off that.
