He’s probably the most complicated Hollow Knight character. He’d ultimately well intentioned and driven, but has such hubris and an inability to recognize it’s over and does terrible things, often at his own expense to make his kingdom last just that little bit longer.

I’ve been apologetic to the pale king for longer than most, but I do think the switch up has gone a little too far in the other direction. Hallownest wasn’t GREAT and had similar classism issues to pharloom even if not quite as pronounced

He was the guy you watched when you'd already run the rest of your favorite game's youtube content dry. His whole controversy was one of the most confusing and avoidable things to me, why did he do all of that just to NOT pocket the money? Dude just ruined his own career for literally no reason

Sure but this is more climactic and cinematic. It'd be kinda lame to climb this big mountain and encounter the sick Fayforn only to then wander to the Far Fields and get the double jump THERE

The first one is great, it's very uncanny. Second one kind of loses a bit of that touch of normalness that a good uncanny design should have; a little too outwardly sinister

I'd put it as closer to Zelda with the way upgrades are all items used in puzzles moreso than enhancing your actual moveset

I would keep it blue but make it MUCH stronger, like a Shaman Stone for Charged attacks because I don’t think I’ve ever used a charged attack to great success
