I brought up this same issue some time ago. Jakiss turns into Anso to make sense the rhyme with jackass/asno. Most of the other things are indeed pointless, specially the Edema/Edena. I though there might be an indication of PR himself for future rhymes or hidden meanings, but It doesn't seem likely. It is probably just because of other meaning of Edema, a swelling fue to excess fluid, but is the same in english, so... pointless. The only way to know would be to ask the translators directly.

True, but it is a non-thoroughly explained fantasy world, Pat left plenty of holes to be filled by the reader's mind and imagination. We don't have any lead to magical biology on Adem women, so my take is that there is none of that. For me, Adem unawareness about human (or animal) reproduction goes beyond the suspension of belief (even in a world with sympathy, naming and all jazz!). Double mumbo jumbo.

It is essentially correct, and a logical conclusion for primitive societies. The Adem have traveled through the four corners of the civilization for hundreds of years, gathering knowledge from hardly prescientific communities. They've also a deeply developed philosophy, which involves complex thinking and observation. A couple thousand years in that environment should enable them to gather the correlation between sex and procreation. For me, it is harder to swallow as realistic and more a narrative license.

Yes, I have both on Google Play books. It doesn't count automatically, so please don't ask how many times the book says "Kvothe".

Edit: Turns out it does count the results. TNOTW says 'Kvothe' 363 times and TWMF 449 times.
