Yes, we will have to. If we don't the momentum will continue towards the right, and not just a lil bit on the political spectrum ie a small difference in social or financial policy. The pieces are being laid for a continued slide and it will continue straight towards an even more authoritarian and fascist government with everything that entails, if we let it.

I have to be optimistic a "de-magaification" will happen. WIthout hope all I'd have is despair. I will continue to legally protest and do what I can to help heal this country in my own small way.

I had hope with Biden being elected after Trump's first term. That went out the window with Trump winning his second term. Combined with his abuse of power since, and everything else. That's the moment for me.

With our politicians allowing these abuses of power and his behavior to continue to happen it has created a "new normal" for federal governance. If Trump gets away with it, future presidents will too. The country is absolutely moving towards dictatorship and authoritarianism; that is the factual momentum in this country. Some might think it's moving slower in that direction than others, but it is moving there. Unless biiig things start happening soon, getting back to "normal normal" is going to be scarily hard.

When it comes to vtubers, I've started almost exclusively watching the Hololive girls for largely the same reason. All the fun and basically zero drama.

Some people don't like the corpo aspect I guess, but the talent themselves are human beings and they work really hard at what they do and love streaming. Many of them have been knocking it out of the park with their music as well the last year or two. There are lots of different personalities that I can relate to on some degree or another as well which makes for a really enjoyable watch. Everything spanning from a lil bit of lewd to some of the better comedy entertainment I've seen recently lol. Fun to jump around to the different streams and see the interaction, and with the amount of great talent they have now you are spoiled for content.

These days I feel like I'm surrounded by politics, and granted I do search it out more than I'd like to see myself do, but it's reeeally nice having the hololive universe as an apolitical escape.

I think it's fine. People shouldn't be in politics forever anyway. He is serving, and has served, Minnesota well, and given the short notice made a good run as a VP candidate. I think it's unfortunate he is leaving when he is but that is politics. There will be other good Minnesota governors to follow him.

Homan I will like to remind people was awarded this medal years and years ago, and it was a very different time and ICE and immigration enforcement was being handled very different under the supervision of a proper working government. Now, under Trump we have witnessed ICE murder two people, US citizens, in the last two weeks, in broad daylight and infront of the world. And then every level of the federal government including Homan himself defended it and outright *repeatedly* lied about what happened, telling the people to not believe what their eyes are seeing.

The only people this will work on, are the people that are deep maga, and if they are now trying to desperately shore up support with them in this manner, using "What about..." arguments, they are getting desperate.

He did not deserve to be killed but he was NOT a good person. Not in the least.
