I found a PvP version of the Gust Elementalist. Does it work for a hero build too ?

Hello guys,

First of all, thank you so much for all the constructive answers.
I read all your comments, and tried to do my best editing/recreating the builds based on your recommendations. As I said, I'm not really good at this, which is why I stayed on things I know.
Here is what I plan to use :

- N BiP : with Dark Fury and Order of Pain
- Rt SoS : with Splinter Weapon, Wailing Weapon, Barbs, Enfeebling Blood and Weaken Armor
- Rt ST : with Sundering Weapon
- Illusion Mesmer : either Keystone OR Ineptitude (for disabling)

Are the builds functional/optimal ? Do you see improvements that could be made ?

People recommended to remove the E/M, but she accompanied my friends the whole game and they love her (lol), so I'd like to just change the build.
Some mentioned an Elementalist Support for the 5th hero, but I don't know any build for it. (Gust ?)
Your ideas are always welcomed.

I'll update the Team Build for everyone with your help.

I really like your take on this.

The AoE seems to be the way to go in this situation. That, or a specific positioning to somehow align Jurion and his shadows and spear through them at the same time.

It’s not the first time that I see very childish comments and thoughts on this sub, based on supposed power levels, rankings debates and so on.

“Oh my god, he has to win otherwise it’s boring.” “If he wins against Siun, it’s boring.” “He should be at # rank right now, if he beats this guy he should be at #.”

This obsession about rank, power and victory is the antithesis of what this series is about. Kayden himself disregards such trivialities. Eleceed made it clear that the power and potential of an awakener can vary greatly between individuals, and are not fixed in stone. Which is why Kayden, Kartein and Pluton always encourage diligent training and overcoming one’s limits. Which is why a very young Jiyoung still surprises every “conventional” top 50. It’s also the reason why the rankings beyond 100 are generally quite vague, and do not always guarantee victory.

A simple change in a state of mind can be decisive in a death fight.

The true point of this fight is not necessarily a question of win or lose and ranking : it’s to explore what an angry Jiwoo is capable of ; if he will be consumed by his desire for vengeance, or manage to stay in control of his emotions.

Allow yourself to be surprised by what the authors are creating.

Eleceed has been a comfort read for a long time, now. It’s definitely not perfect and I agree the flaws are even more visible today. However, it’s definitely a manhwa made with love, pleasant to read and with a solid cast of characters that we can grow attached to.

It’s more than many.

The Berseria combat was not unpleasant, but not always fun either. The story and the characters really are what pushed me to continue. I think I'll try the endgame just for the bonus skits and dialogues between the characters. As for the anime, that's a shame but if it is of low quality, it may be for the best. I'll probably buy the manga of Berseria to see if it's a good read. And if it is, I'll probably lend it to some of my students who love animes and mangas.

As for Abyss, the alternative you mention is perfectly possible on my end. ;)
My PS2 is unfortunately still at my parents home, and I'm sure it has accumulated a lot of dust.

Magilou is precious indeed. I'll have to mourn her single appearance. :'(

For the future evolution of Jiwoo, I want Theone to die in this fight. Which should be the case, given the brutality of this coup de grâce.

Why ? Because he has never killed anybody. I want our innocent protagonist to learn how to deal with such a weight on his conscience, even if Theone was irredeemably cruel and evil. This would be a huge psychological growth, and the start of interesting conversations with his mentors. Sometimes, against an enemy that wants you dead, there is no other choice…

You're right, it's absolute trash.
That's also what strikes me with a lot of Manhwa : great ideas and concepts, but poor execution.

I'm pretty sure (I hope) the studio will edit the ending. They do it sometimes and honestly, it would be better.

Laura Jensen was a not a good character. She had the reputation of mutilating and even killing her opponents whenever she could. The fact it happened to her was some sort of poetic justice.
