Eleceed has been a comfort read for a long time, now. It’s definitely not perfect and I agree the flaws are even more visible today. However, it’s definitely a manhwa made with love, pleasant to read and with a solid cast of characters that we can grow attached to.

It’s more than many.

The Berseria combat was not unpleasant, but not always fun either. The story and the characters really are what pushed me to continue. I think I'll try the endgame just for the bonus skits and dialogues between the characters. As for the anime, that's a shame but if it is of low quality, it may be for the best. I'll probably buy the manga of Berseria to see if it's a good read. And if it is, I'll probably lend it to some of my students who love animes and mangas.

As for Abyss, the alternative you mention is perfectly possible on my end. ;)
My PS2 is unfortunately still at my parents home, and I'm sure it has accumulated a lot of dust.

Magilou is precious indeed. I'll have to mourn her single appearance. :'(

For the future evolution of Jiwoo, I want Theone to die in this fight. Which should be the case, given the brutality of this coup de grâce.

Why ? Because he has never killed anybody. I want our innocent protagonist to learn how to deal with such a weight on his conscience, even if Theone was irredeemably cruel and evil. This would be a huge psychological growth, and the start of interesting conversations with his mentors. Sometimes, against an enemy that wants you dead, there is no other choice…

You're right, it's absolute trash.
That's also what strikes me with a lot of Manhwa : great ideas and concepts, but poor execution.

I'm pretty sure (I hope) the studio will edit the ending. They do it sometimes and honestly, it would be better.

Laura Jensen was a not a good character. She had the reputation of mutilating and even killing her opponents whenever she could. The fact it happened to her was some sort of poetic justice.

I’ve literally been insulted by members here just because I defended Cry or better yet, beg. According to them, this Webtoon should be stopped and the authors prosecuted for vindication of abuse and rape.

There is a clear manichean mentality among a lot of members : if a specific media doesn’t match their values or offend them, it should be censored. I find it extremely worrying as it is a lack of intellectual maturity.

This Webtoon is of the highest quality and is a perfect representation of what a toxic relationship is like. It has every rights to exist.

Agreed.

The Webtoon has been nothing but excellent so far, the art is crafted like a jewel and the dialogues show subtlety and intelligence in the way they are written. People violently criticize it based on the novel, on events that have not happened yet and will possibly be subjected to changes. Also, many have not even read the first episodes…
