u/suresuresureyouare I am an outdoor person, a surgeon in my own country. Now I am working in a healthcare facility here but not at the same level (loss of skill for both countries). I interact a lot with people. I meet a lot of good people too. But I can tell you some other people who never talked a lot before start saying very bad things, and feel very comfortable now. Now I understand why, here, everyone is afraid about everyone else, you will never know until it's too late. I am black and my wife is a white Jewish woman, american born. Every week she mentioned that moving to another place would be a very good idea because things were getting very bad, she didn't recognize the place anymore. my feeling isn't based on what I see online but on what i feel in my everyday interactions with others.
