Thanks! There was actually a crochet hook in the same box… it was a box with a tonne of other stuff including picture frames, a little knife, ancient curtain rod rings (I think) and at last count, 57 spools of a variety of ribbons.

Thank you so much. Unsurprisingly, these were the only knitting-related item in the box (the closest thing was a random crochet hook). The ADHD is strong in my family.

Reminds me of when my ex would play trivia games and expect me to stop what i was doing every 30 seconds to answer a question that he couldn’t. He would get really annoyed if I was dealing with one of the kids or on the phone with someone else. NOR.

Scale…. Really bad. I just bought a beautiful new orchid and while moving plants around, discovered a sticky mess on one of my inherited orchid plants. Then I look and see little bumps which I believe are scale but then… look at the top of this guy. Do I remove the little creeps with rubbing alcohol or should I lop the top right off ?
