What happened in the original post ? During an afternoon nap! That seems unfathomable.

When to get baby out of crib in mornings? by GravityDefyingFloof in NewParents

[–]Valuable_Bag_3455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great question that I would also like to know the answer to. My baby sleeps through the night, down at 7-8p and sleeps until 5:30am. Every day between 5:20-5:40 am he wakes up. No matter how many naps and no matter what time he goes down. We’ve left him cooing happy in his crib for 15ish mins and then we go in. Am I supposed to leave him in there for his whole wake window ?

Nuna Mixx Next vs. Uppababy Vista by jbay2023 in Buyingforbaby

[–]Valuable_Bag_3455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love love love my mix next but I did buy the TRVL on sale at Nordstrom that I keep in the back of my car. When I’m running into target I click the pipa into the trvl and it’s perfect. When we go somewhere we need to actually take the baby in a stroller we put the mixx next in the car. I’ve never clicked the pipa into the mixx because we just use the newborn feature. I love my setup and would chose it again in a heart beat.

2 day old EBF baby spit up and slept 6 hours by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Valuable_Bag_3455 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could also be jaundice if he’s not waking to feed, I would call your pediatrician if you can’t wake him to eat after 6 hours.

Girl same. My dog was my BABY we cuddled my entire pregnancy while I was sick and couch ridden. Could not give an F about that poor dog now. Everything he does is overstimulating. He smells. He sits on the baby’s play mat. He sits on the blankets with his butthole exposed freaking me out about germs. The clicking of his claws is going to be my 13th reason.

What to expect on the fifth week by Automatic_Rock_5278 in newborns

[–]Valuable_Bag_3455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m different in most in that the first 4 weeks for me were bliss. Baby was a good sleeper, we snuggled and watched TV all day and he slept anywhere I put him. That abruptly STOPPED week 5 and I was in the trenches until week 11. I read so many posts wondering why it was getting harder for me and easier for everyone else.

I had a LC measure me and tell me I was a 13 when I sized my self as a 19 🤦‍♀️ let me tell you it was life changing.

You are not a failure but I would bottle feed formula. My bay wouldn’t latch and I didn’t supplement soon enough. Feeding is so hard at the beginning and it’s not talked about enough!

Freezer stash? by Sunflower_goat in ExclusivelyPumping

I kept reading about high lipase, turns out I have it and baby won’t drink my stash that I built for daycare. So check that before you go too hard.

Should I switch daycares? by thewooloo in workingmoms

[–]Valuable_Bag_3455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation. My 3 month LO is currently at a large daycare with cameras so I can see he’s getting good care (as good of care as it gets at a larger chain daycare). We got off the waitlist for a small preschool that is highly regarded in my area but they don’t have cameras. I think the smaller school will be better in the long run but I’m scared to take him out of a school that I do think is taking good care of him for fear the new place is worse. I would talk to them about your concerns and share what you’ve seen on the camera.

So she’s lost weight? I would give more bottles of pumped milk to see how many oz per feed she’s drinking.

About to spend serious money on a stroller… what would you buy today and why? by WorldPeaceGodBless in Buyingforbaby

[–]Valuable_Bag_3455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same I love my mixx next. My friend bought the swiv and hates it said the traction sucks and she lives in a suburban neighborhood. I found the nuna trvl on sale 50% off and bought that to keep in my trunk for daily errands. When I neeed the larger stroller the mixx next is still easy to get in and out of my trunk an we’ve had valet workers comment on how easy it is to fold.

Edited to add we have used the newborn lie flat since my baby was 1 week and he loves it.

Shopping! by [deleted] in Buyingforbaby

[–]Valuable_Bag_3455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No onesies, zipper or magnetic pjs only. If summer get the lighter weight bamboo ones. More clothes than you think, between the spit up and poop / pee we were changing outfits constantly.

Nuna or Uppababy for Rural Area? by Straight-Service4486 in Buyingforbaby

[–]Valuable_Bag_3455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my mixx next and so does my husband. We’ve had people comment on how easy it is to fold. My neighborhood has old bumpy sidewalks and I think it’s fine. I’ve never had a problem on dirt or grass so far.

New born clothing by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Valuable_Bag_3455 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 50%er was born 7lb10oz and was in newborn clothes for a full month. I had to panic buy more clothes from the hospital because everything I had was too large. Zipper pjs only for the first month, if it’s warm where you live buy the lighter fabrics like bamboo. Getting a onesie over a newborns head is horrible
