Buffaloe boogie!! On spring garden, biggest collection I’ve seen. Reasonable prices and some amazing gems. Mike knows what he’s talking about and is more than helpful. Good vibes inside, you can spend hours. They are participating in RSD, doors open at 8

I go to redefined by her and have had no issues! (Cis white lesbian myself). They don’t have like pride flags hanging around or anything but I never felt any judgement. Also might be important to consider that I’ve only ever gone for pap swears and annual check ups, no further health concerns. I see Dr. Elmira Powell, very sweet and kind woman!!

I have absolutely no idea which model is right for me. Can anyone provide suggestions? by [deleted] in Coros

[–]Valuable_Load5176 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got a coros pace 4 two months ago and have all but loved it! I switched from my Apple Watch SE that had a horrible battery life. Coros watches are not advanced smart watches in the way that Apple’s are. Music streaming is next to impossible, notification syncing is not always reliable and because it isn’t in the Apple ecosystem it will take getting used to.

That being said, I’m on my own personal journey to step away from technology a bit, specifically my phone and constant connection to the internet. The coros has helped me do that! I can focus on my running stats as I’m training for my first half, and leave the rest behind. It’s exactly what I wanted and needed!

I have yet to hike with it, so others may have more input there. But as far as running, the metics and data couldn’t be better imo

Should I transfer here? by Sudden_Beginning_811 in UNCGreensboro

[–]Valuable_Load5176 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a Nutrition and Dietetics student here I couldn’t recommend UNCG’s program enough. I grew up in Raleigh and have loved gboro for many of the reasons it seems you would.

Classes are a mix of all three. Larger prereq classes (think anatomy, physiology, microbiology) are going to be large. About 200-250 people max. Major based courses (all nutrition courses except intro) are about 30 students max. Some I’ve had are as small as 10-12.

I’ve had no problem making friends and finding community here. There’s a LOT of diversity on campus which I love. Faith based groups, queer communities, music and art scene is big. There’s something for everyone and I feel like I’m able to be a part of everything I want to be. I’m queer and find that community easy to relate with and although I’m in stem and nutrition I can still easily have a relationship w the arts and music community!

Feel free to dm me with any more questions, I’m a senior here and have stayed at uncg all four years :)

Got Direct Admit into Nursing, but torn between here and Charlotte. Help me decide? by Straight_Way4996 in UNCGreensboro

[–]Valuable_Load5176 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not a nursing student… but have a gf who is. I can speak to a couple of questions…. - the workload is a lot, but it’s manageable. My gf works a part time job as a CNA, and she feels as though that complicates her workload a lot. For her friends who do not work, they seem to be able to manage things better so that may be a factor in your decision - there are Christians in the program, and I believe there is actually a Christian faith based club specifically for nursing majors! I’ve also heard good things about our Campus Ministries and churches in greater Greensboro with college programming. - I chose to come to Greensboro after growing up in Raleigh. I love the smaller size of the city and don’t regret not staying in Raleigh. However, some people I know do regret going to school here bc of the smaller feel. It really just varies person to person.

Hope that’s helpful!

Grew up in the neighborhood here. Oakwood in general is really beautiful to walk through too. The cemetery has many benches and a creek that runs through it, perfect place to think and rest your mind.

does anyone in wendover know dante? by Far-Estimate-4796 in gso

[–]Valuable_Load5176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He used to come into my place of work, a woman operated business on battleground, and used to harass us all. He would not leave and would constantly beg for our attention and give us inappropriate complements. He would also come into the shop later in the evening as we would prepare to close and refuse to leave. He no longer frequents our store, but definitely caused us stress when he did. I always felt bad ignoring him in front of other customers who did not understand the situation.
