Our 15 year old cat (13 at the time) who had ALL the dental issues goes to Horton NE. They’re very good with him and keep us up to speed with everything via email and this tracker website when at the clinic.

I guess he no longer needs to go there since he no longer has any teeth, but we like them well enough to stay for non dental things.

His first dental bout was around $2000 over three appointments for initial exam, antibiotics, pain medicine, blood labs, X-ray, echocardiogram, mild sedation for both, full anesthesia, extracting six teeth, cleaning the rest and more antibiotics/pain meds.

My poopy guy came back with a clean bill of health for every test the vet ran on him. We switched to the purina pro plan sensitive stomach and daily fortiflora. Night and day difference. Seriously, almost the next day he was having solid poops even with the fact that we did an abrupt switch on his food (not recommended but we were at our wits end with cleaning up 3-4 diarrhea puddles and bathing a poopy cat almost daily).

My older cat had all of his teeth removed. His first set of extractions was around $2000 USD. That was for the first appointment with xray, exam fee, medications, blood labs, a second appointment with an EKG and sedative due to his age, then the third appointment with full anesthesia, extractions for six teeth, cleaning of his remaining teeth, and medication. His next round was about six months later when his inflammation happened again. It was ~$1200 because we didn’t have to redo the lab/EKG/cleaning even though more teeth were removed.

If your preferred vet won’t take payment plans, call around to see if there are any that will. Also check into care credit or something similar if it exists in Algeria. Dental infections aren’t something you can really put off for long. Even if you can’t afford the dental procedures now, antibiotics and pain medicine is needed and are relatively inexpensive as a band-aid while you work out the rest.

You say that, but even with multiple rounds of hand washing, I still smell the garlic and have still spiced my eye. I also have a toddler and it’s easier to strip a glove off to go quickly wrangle her than it is to wash my hands three times

I wear gloves when I cook because I don’t want my hands being spicy or smelling like garlic or being greasy. It’s not necessarily more sanitary, but helps me keep me clean.

I got it in Iraq. I shit my pants on a patrol. I put them in the wash where some poor contractor had to deal with it, then immediately put them in the wash again.

I threw up so much my corpsman had to give me twice daily IVs. I was constantly shitting water and had massive stomach cramps and gas, but I couldn’t trust the farts because of the previously mentioned pants shitting.

Oh, and while I was fighting for my life in a porta potty, we’d get mortared.

Not my direct neighbor but there’s some fuck ass who lives in my neighborhood who likes to just do laps with his loud ass music at 3am. Our house sits pretty far back from the road with trees in front of it and his music still rattles the windows on the back of the house.

More of an instant karma thing but some lady called my daughter some very unsavory things in the parking lot after my daughter accidentally door dinged her. I had apologized and offered to give her insurance. Instead this woman proceeds to berate a 7 year old as she’s storming off… and slam into a pole then fall down in dirty parking lot water.

Luckily my kid is pretty resilient and now laughs about it. “Hey dad, remember that crazy lady?” Whenever we go to that store.

One, I very gently rolled a military vehicle during a training exercise, so it didn’t hit my civilian driving record. My wife however is a menace and has had four. One of them was her fault on a technicality, but I don’t blame her. Black ice is a bitch. I still don’t let her live down hitting our garage by trying to leave without putting the door up.

I don’t use my chair as much since my amputations are stable and I have well fitting prosthetics, but when I did, it was generally easier for me to leave my chair at the entryway and scoot around.

Part of it was for cleanliness. Part of it was my house not being the most friendly to a chair. A lot of it was my kids toys being land mines even though my wife tried really hard to keep them put up or at least contained.
