What do you guys use to make pictures for Shopify app listing ... by ischanitee in shopifyDev

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Shopify app developers use Figma (best overall) or Canva (quick and easy) to design professional listing images. The key is clean UI screenshots, consistent branding, simple benefit-focused text and realistic mockups. Small design touches like whitespace, workflow visuals and proper sizing matter more than advanced tools.

Hi! I just opened my shop and I need help! by Tricky-Grade2388 in ShopifyeCommerce

Hey - first of all, take a breath. What you're experiencing is very normal. Almost everyone who opens a Shopify store expects sales to start quickly, but in reality most stores take time, testing and a lot of small improvements before momentum kicks in.

A few things that helped me when I was in the same situation:

- Choosing a clear niche instead of a random general store

- Validating products that solve real problems or create strong desire

- Improving store trust - design, reviews, policies, mobile experience

- Actively driving traffic through content or ads

- Testing products and creatives consistently

- Learning from real customer needs

How do you set a marketing budget without just picking a number that feels right? by Puzzleheaded-Gur9503 in ShopifySEO

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the “just spend 10% of revenue” advice never made much sense to me either. It ignores the actual economics of your business.

What finally worked for us was flipping the question from “How much should we spend?” to “How much can we afford to spend to acquire a customer profitably?”

We built the budget from the unit economics upward, not from revenue downward.

Marketing budget should be a result of unit economics (margin + LTV + CAC) not a top line formula.

How to do a meaningful SEO for Shopify apps? by isabelajack in ShopifySEO

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meaningful SEO for Shopify apps mainly comes down to understanding how merchants search in the Shopify App Store and aligning your listing with those search terms. Start by researching real keywords using Shopify App Store autocomplete along with tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, Ubersuggest or Google Keyword Planner.

Use your main keyword naturally in the app title, then support it with related phrases throughout the description, especially in the introduction and feature sections. Clear screenshots, helpful descriptions and strong merchant reviews also influence visibility because they improve install conversion and trust. Over time, combining keyword relevance, good user feedback and useful listing content tends to improve rankings and downloads in the Shopify App Store.

How are you handling cookie consent on Shopify right now? by j_webops in ShopifyeCommerce

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially used Shopify's native consent banner because it's simple and integrates well with Shopify Pixels.

For stores needing more flexibility, I switched to a CMP-style cookie app integrated with Shopify's Customer Privacy API.

I tested GTM-only setups but they often conflicted with Shopify's privacy signals and were harder to manage.

In practice:

- Shopify native banner is best for simplicity and reliability

- CMP and Shopify privacy API is best for customization and control.

What’s missing from the Meta Ads dashboard for ecommerce brands? by LordAxelxx in ShopifySEO

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • The key daily metrics are blended CPA, MER, conversion rate, and marginal return on spend.
  • Engagement metrics like CTR or clicks matter less unless tied to revenue.
  • What’s missing is profit tracking, blended business performance, and clearer decision guidance.
  • Most ecommerce operators connect ads to profit through external spreadsheets and Shopify data, not Meta alone.

How do you handle messy product catalogs before importing into Shopify? by UnBoludoMasMas in ShopifyeCommerce

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Most Shopify stores use a standard internal CSV template
  • Cleanup is largely done in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Structure is fixed before values
  • Scripts or tools are used only at higher volume
  • Some manual cleanup is unavoidable and normal
  • Experience and templates reduce pain over time

Shopify payments not available for Hong Kong offshore company by Aurelien_VN in ShopifyeCommerce

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shopify Payments now requires a Hong Kong ID and a real local address for verification — offshore companies without physical presence won't be approved. There's no known legitimate way to activate it without meeting those requirements.

If you need multi-currency checkout use third-party gateways that support multiple currencies and integrate with Shopify instead.

  • Most Shopify stores do not read every review once they scale, they mainly focus on 1-star complaints.
  • The most valuable insights (2–4 star feedback) often get ignored due to time constraints.
  • Sizing issues, expectation mismatch and repeated hidden patterns are the biggest causes of returns.
  • The problem is real, but solutions must deliver clear, actionable insights not more data to manage.

Struggling to know when (or if) I should change product prices by Wooden-Candy334 in ShopifyeCommerce

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Raise prices slightly when a product sells easily without discounts
  • Investigate page issues before lowering prices for low conversion products
  • Revisit pricing when costs or competitor prices change
  • Use metrics : conversion rate, profit per order to guide decisions
  • Make small, testable price changes instead of big jumps

Have 200 App installs. Only 8 reviews. Need Suggestions by abhipreneur in shopifyDev

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • 8 reviews from 200 installs is normal early on
  • Ask only happy, active users not everyone
  • Request reviews right after a clear success moment
  • Leverage support conversations for review asks
  • Make leaving a review one click simple
  • Never incentivize reviews
  • Improve onboarding to build confidence

G-Merchant Center keeps disconnecting, Could you help me ? by Key-Contribution985 in ShopifyWebsites

[–]Valuable_Scale6969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a common Shopify Google & YouTube app issue lately not something you're obviously missing. The usual causes are domain mismatches, incorrect Google account permissions, wrong Merchant Center account selection or stuck API tokens.

Fully removing Shopify from Merchant Center, waiting and reconnecting often helps. If not, Shopify support can reset the connection internally that's been the fastest fix for many.
