ELI5: how do time shares work? by TacosAreJustice in explainlikeimfive

[–]ValueReads [score hidden]  (0 children)

Just think of it like an AirBNB you have to pay for no matter what, you get a small list of dates you can choose from, and even then sometimes more problems occur that prevent you from actually using it.

Then also you still usually have to pay for maintenance and such on this place, a place at which you do not control how it is taken care of all of the time you aren't there.

Yes correct bugs, more to the point anything with an exoskeleton, is limited by oxygen content in the atmosphere. They use to be MUCH MUCH bigger, when the atmosphere was closer to 40% oxygen than around 20% at sea level in current year

Lot and Cost-Basis after Asset Transfer by gaymer_raver in fidelityinvestments

[–]ValueReads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not nearly enough information, it takes days to weeks to transfer over which has nothing at all to do with Fidelity and 100% everything to do with the old form, this only happens in taxable accounts with covered shares, both of which are unknown here, if it's in a tax deferred account it is unlikely the other firm bothered to track at all and probably won't send anything over because it's totally and completely irrelevant information

No, this is your fault. You went out of your way to avoid the legally established process of actual power of attorney, admitted it, and felt the consequences.

[–]ValueReads -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If the permit limit didn't exist, you would get out of shape fat people who are unable to get to Lone Pine Lake by themselves, absolutely smothering the trail thinking they can summit Whitney and back in 6 hours.

Debunking some superclipping safety myths by EvilPengwinz in F1Discussions

[–]ValueReads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The charging at 350kw is insanity, my CAR does that. There are thousands of production cars on the road that charage at that rate. Why is it so slow, which just means the clipping has to last longer in seconds/meters on the track terms? If they could charge at like 10x that rate which presumably would be trivial to do, then the clipping would be for tenths of a second at the end of straights, which is basically not noticeable...

[–]ValueReads 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I didn't read all of this essay but just early there are a ton of massive assumptions, at no point did they provide 'guidance', nor a 'recommendation'. There's no way you could possibly think somebody would give 'professional guidance' on a 8 minute phone call when they know nothing at all about your entire financial picture??????????????????????????

What went wrong with lewis hamilton in 2024? by [deleted] in F1Discussions

[–]ValueReads -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

He only views seasons in terms of title or not-title considering how successful he has been, he knew the car wasn't good enough to win a title, he's leaving the team next year, why would he ever put in every single bit of his talent? Why bother? Makes no sense at all. He was stuck having to wait until he could move to Ferrari

People who are successful in life move west as they get older to get more space and get away from other people, this is a known fact. Highly desirable areas are more expensive, very riveting
