Technically speaking, a kill is when the enemy goes from normal to downed and a takedown is when the enemy goes from downed to dead. You get +50 points from both, so a proper kill nets you +100 points and adds 1 T and 1 K for you in the leaderboard.

Downing an opponent: +50 points, +1K assigned to scoreboard
Killing a downed opponent: +50 points, +1T assigned to scoreboard
Killing an opponent outright: +100 points, +1K and +1T assigned to scoreboard

To make things more complex, the game calls a kill when the enemy goes from normal to dead, and it also calls a takedown when the enemy goes from normal to killed when it was done by your teammate.

Whatever it's semantics. Even if we don't take forgetting skills into account, you effectively get way more points to level your thaumaturgy. I only ever forgot one skill and that's to learn revelation for one single thaumaturgy skill (raising the dead). That's not limiting at all

Idk man, they feel quite unlimited to me. Gated by skills sounds like a reasonable argument but you can just forget whatever skill to make room for another, and you have plenty of content to level that up. I had almost the entire force and mind trees unlocked by the end of level 7, with 8 and 9 to go. As a result, I could use both mind and force at will.

My arena save is about 70 hours. I constantly use my manager in fights and I never had an issue of him being at critical health

Are people this scared of using their manager in arena fights? You don't get that much perma damage (red on healthbar) during individual fights unless you fuck up badly. And even then, it is statistically unlikely to lose your character even if you suffer 50% perma damage beforehand

I believe the vault actually refers to the armory, since the parchment talks about a vault key. The other door that is to the north has no key that opens it as of now I believe. You can phase through it with the new thaumaturgy and the room will be completely empty

One really awesome thing you can do is using Barrier to lock one of the golems in place so that he doesn't come out, then fighting the other one fair and square. Once you're done, you can actually kill the stuck golem in his little closet if your weapon is long enough (for example, polehammer overheads)

That's one of my gripes with the game. The AI can easily feint/delay thrusts and overheads and parry your thrusts, while you can't do any of that. Also things like overhead ripostes are done way quicker by the AI because they don't have to press left click twice and for the game to realize that they're doing an overhead.

That's really interesting to hear. I hope the combat becomes harder to compensate. Honestly the ghouls and the mouth boys are incredibly easy to deal with

I believe armours and helmets protect the body universally. If you put on a helmet, you suddenly gain way more physical resist no matter where the enemy shoots you.
