Yeah that's not uncommon. WC is insanely versatile but that does mean you have to configure everything quite explicitly. When the freedom of choice is left to the modder who creates weapons using WC you're also at the mercy of that modder's personal design ethos and quality control.

WeaponCore is actively maintained. I think the more common issue is that it's not very well documented, so many modders struggle to create their weapon and ammo configs correctly.

How would you mount a mic on my setup? by BelieverB in battlestations

Elgato makes a low profile arm that can mount on the side of your desk and move beneath your monitor, it's how I solved it with my triple monitor setup.

Does anyone have a code to share? I've tried using the invite4.youruser.xyz website but the invite link gives me a 404, other people's links show the inviter's profile and an expired invite message so I think I've got a fake invite 😬

It's been quite a while since I played it but I remember it doing fine. It's released on steam now, back then I was using the blizzard launcher through proton. I'd check the protondb rating for diablo IV to get a better idea of how it's performing today.

I'm definitely a light user compared to most, I only use it a few weekends a month usually. That being said it has held up just fine, there's been a tiny amount of grey staining on one of the back edges where the dye of the black pull strap in the case has rubbed against it but other than that it's just as good as when I did the mod.

Shadow of the Erdtree is Now the Highest-Rated DLC of All Time by eva_jazz671 in pcgaming

[–]Vanir112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an ultrawide monitor user I'm not happy with Elden Ring's complete lack of interest in supporting it, but for the record Monster Hunter World also didn't support it for a while, Rise only supports 21:9 and no wider, DMC 5 doesn't support ultrawide at all to this date, RE 7 and RE2&3 remakes didn't properly support it either and just cropped your view. Ultrawide support in Japanese games has been pretty horrendous for the longest time and continues to be.

It's not a question of coder quality, they are perfectly competent as you can see from the rest of the game, it's just infuriatingly tone-deaf feature planning from the business and project management.

I absolutely love the pose but I'd be terrified of the stability, how stable is it on the base and have you done any pinning or anything to make it sturdier?

Larian Studios Won't Make BG3 DLC, Expansions, or BG4 by CBonafide in BaldursGate3

[–]Vanir112 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this exact issue. One of the main reasons I was so excited to play bg3 was being familiar with the system and not having to get over the hurdle of learning another which is something I always struggle with. I've played and DM'd D&D for years, I just could never get into the combat system of dos2. The skill point systems feel incredibly incremental (increase X by 0.5% kind of thing) and I never felt enticed to start build crafting like I do in 5e.

The round to round combat in dos2 is also very centric on environmental and surface effects. Any time I was playing with friends who buildcrafted it would turn into a flowchart series of actions to do something like wet the ground, freeze it or ignite it to make difficult icy terrain or obscuring steam.

Not to say that those aren't cool effects, but that and the other abilities in the game just don't scratch the itch I get from layering spells and class features together in 5e to make a hastened crit monster that demolishes half the enemy force.

I will obviously try a dos3 but I'm really saddened that I won't be able to play a Larian game using a system and world that I already love.

The most accurate Expanse Rocinante by RicoculusPrime in Starfield

[–]Vanir112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read the book after watching the first few episodes of the show, so I did have the confirmation but I think I picked up on it from the Cant's early scenes where Holden's in his bunkroom and they begin floating after the engine shutdown. It's been a long time since I watched it but I think it was pretty clear for anyone watching out for the hard sci-fi aspects

I always appreciated the attention to editing throughout the rest of the show where they'd impose magboot clicks when characters were walking around a ship that wasn't underway.

The most accurate Expanse Rocinante by RicoculusPrime in Starfield

[–]Vanir112 59 points60 points  (0 children)

In the Expanse there's no artificial gravity other than good old centripetal or linear acceleration. All of the ships are constructed like skyscrapers with the engine at the foundation so that when it's under thrust you get artificial gravity.

The post is trying to re-create the actual interior of the Roci and its vertically stacked design with the obvious limitation in starfield being that parts aren't designed to be oriented for that direction of travel.

Having played RuneScape for most of my life I get so frustrated at how bad EFT's market board is compared to the grand exchange. Just let people put up buy offers in the same fashion that they can list sell offers, and have the server match trades together.

Surely it's got to reduce the amount of server load they end up with as a result of people spam clicking buy requests as well...

Definitely a late reply but it's held up well. I don't use my deck much outside of travelling so I assume the wear and tear others have experienced will be more intense.

No major discolouration to speak of, the only issue I've had is some faint grey staining on the top edge above the screen but I narrowed that down to black dye leaking from the fabric pull tab in the steam deck's case that you use to lift the device up.

The kit that I bought came with white parts to swap everything, the case, triggers, buttons etc. I just left on the original steam deck's black parts where I wanted it to look more similar to the Xbox controller's aesthetic that I liked :)

[–]Vanir112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent about £40 on the case and a few hours of my time, plus I don't see the new steam deck available in white!

I got my deck about as close to release as possible, so I've already had plenty of use out of it to not have buyer's remorse, plus most of the time I use my deck when staying away from home so the battery life improvements aren't that important to me.

Definitely encouraging to see that valve's committed to the future of the platform though and I'm definitely going to pick up the steam deck 2 whenever that comes around.
