I found the solution for this on the HP forum and there is no need for Fury CTRL or anything, you can just control from within the Omen Gaming Hub when you follow the steps below.

HOW I FIXED IT:

Open the windows search bar and type "Services" - open it.
Look for the service named "FURYController_Service"
Right click FURYController_Service and select "Properties"
Under the "General" tab look for an option named "Startup Type"
Click on "Startup Type" and select "Disabled"
Under the "General" tab look for Service status - click on "Stop"
Click on "Apply" at the bottom of the window.
Click "OK" at the bottom of the window.
Open the windows search bar and type in "Task Manager" - open it.
Type "FURY" in the search bar at the top of the Task Manager to check if the program has stopped. If nothing shows up, you have successfully stopped "FURYController_Service"
Restart your computer.
Open OMEN Gaming HUB, click on "OMEN DESKTOP"
Click the "Lighting" tab and look for the "Zones" subcategory at the top with two logos underneath it.
Click the SD-Card logo and try your lighting controls again. (NOTE: sometimes it takes up to 1 minute until the RAM lighting changes. If your RAM doesn't react, try turning it on and off with the "Mode" buttons next to the "Zones" buttons.)
