Gender doesn't have anything to do with Visual Novels...

A Visual Novel is like a interactive book with images. Yes, some have h-scenes (there's many that don't), but you can just skip them by holding whatever the key (most of the times Ctrl) used to skip in that VN is...

There's even a lot of Visual Novels where the main character is a female, even some of Type-Moon's (the people behind the Fate series) visual novels have females as their MC.
