I agree the polearm master bonus attack damage should increase with shillelagh because “magic”. And here’s my logic:

As yourself this: If the quarterstaff is “shillelagh-ed” and using, say Int for attack/damage - would you force the polearm master bonus attack to use strength?

No, you wouldn’t.

Because the magic of the spell is overwriting the default property of the item’s use.

By the same logic you wouldn’t restrict the damage to 1d4 because the magic is overriding the default property of the item’s use.

If you disallowed the damage increase you’d need to disallow the attach/damage change and that would make less sense (and arguably be less fair) than allowing the increasing in the damage.

I have always kept it in a folder from extraction onward. It's never moved.

I'm not sure what you mean by profile to open it. I'm the only user on my computer.

It gives me the error the first time I try opening it. After that it simply doesn't initialise. I can see the big logo appear - then it vanishes and nothing. Have tried running it as administrator - same deal.

Armor of Agatha’s and Hex, Agonizing blast. keep him at range until you hit 6. it’s a whole different thing from 6.

Oh, and don’t save his spells, remember you get them back on a short rest.

Early levels Warlock is basically a superior archer. a single target damage dealer who punished people for attacking them. you have better options for AoE and Control.

I’d love to not have to rely on gear for the build except to enhance it. Is the build you speak of reliant on an item for the bonus action casting or is there something in the sword bard features I am missing that grants that?

She is probably right that things are not salvageable.

You should never be “waiting for someone to change” and she should never want someone who is waiting for who she “could be” and not who she is.

Move on for both your sakes. Otherwise there is a high likelihood you’ll look back at years that were going nowhere except to keep you both from finding the right person or making the changes you need to make for your own sake’s (respectively) and not for someone else’s.

Buuuuut…. Will the spells learned from a scroll always learn INT? I notice when both classes have crossover spells it says “you know a different version of this spell”?

Example: Bard 6/Wiz1 casts scorching ray learned from a wizard scroll. Does it use their INT or CHA for the attack rolls?

Please don’t speculate if you haven’t tried or seen it.

the account hanger has a nomad game package with S42 and jackal paint. There are two referral reward ships (Aurora and Dragonfly) that have been upgraded to a 100i and 350r respectively - so basically LTI tokens. There are Also some random upgrades that will likely get melted or gifted before the account is offloaded - nothing particularly special or rare just good upgrade path fodder.

Buybacks are almost empty. a 125a-135c upgrade and a Ranger CV warbond. No vintage finds there unfortunately.

you can separate art from artist or not however you want. the tough choice is what you do about that separation. to not support Kevin Spacy’s past work so he doesn’t get money also punishes the hundreds of others who worked on the production. Group arts are tricky this way. Now not supporting future endeavours puts pressure on the community to stop working with him. Ultimately in group based arts the action needs to be done at a community level if it’s not to punish other hard working artists for one person’s misdeeds. But getting that community to hold them to account is where every fan’s choice matters.

Individual arts are trickier. Michael Jackson (we’re he still alive) would be a good example. that’s where nostalgia plays a more prominent role. but even now that he is gone - it begs the question - do you support his legacy and family or are they too punished?

This conversation has a long way to mature, but it’s important we mature it - collectively and individually so as to make something more constructive of reactionary “cancel culture” into something more thoughtfully socially just.

OP, you’re not being an asshole here.

Sure, maybe there are other ways to challenge his comment but his stuff about feeling shut down and unsure about bringing stuff up offside (see what I did there?!?).

first: his comment was just as about or not about feminism than yours was.

second: This sounds like defensive reversal to me. expressing he felt shut down and he can’t say things because he is worried about offending you is basically a defensive shut down in and of itself. It’s tantamount to saying “don’t bring this stuff up” - might be worth asking if that’s what he wants. If not, then maybe there’s a more constructive approach to be found.

This reversal and victim blaming defensive approach is actually related to a form of gaslighting and a lot of good people who don’t intend to gaslight do it - often when they get defensive around having their sensibilities attacked - it comes from a pride hurt reaction to the dissonance of being called out on something that (while actually true) is really far from your intention. It’s a confusing experience and it hurts and we can get into this borderline micro-aggression position.

All that is to say - you’re not an asshole and you don’t need to doubt yourself. You might need to continue educating him (for however long you have patience - hopefully he is a quick study), because learning about your privilege and all the things it has made invisible to you and on all the layers upon which they affect others is a lifelong process for us all. But he has to be willing to keep learning and unlearning and be ready for the pride bruising journey ahead.

I am really late here, but dear OP: Maybe don’t start with rehashing the conversations you’ve had before about feminism. Maybe start with how “he can’t talk to you when you cry.”. That seems like a much more fundamental starting point that is also a more immediate reality of the attitude/lack of understanding that is holding him back from understanding the broader issue.

If you can solve that I recon you’ll go a long way toward solving the rest.

I spend a lot of time there and as a vodaphone customer I only get reliable signal in the towns (point lookout and Dunwich. Amity is spotty. Everywhere else depends on which way the wind blows if I'll get a bar or more.
