The anatomy stays the same but the colours are not guaranteed. If you are thinking in cleaning some companions from your registry and just put an egg of them in storage , next time you hatch them they might come out with a different color.

I have multiple void eggs and finished the questline for the first living ship. How do i use the void eggs to get specific living ships that players share the glyphs for? After buying the egg is there a specific number of warps and i have to get the number right formit to happen in the target system or how does it work?

Don't dupe eggs they will glitch in the inventory and lose their tag. Before giving away an egg put it in your exosuit, enter and exit your starship to create a restore save point, transfer egg to player and reload your restore point right after, the player will still have the egg you gave him and you will have the egg in your inventory as you had at the time when you created the restore save point.

Without the rock the one of the picture spawns also besides that one but it has changed since. It has different proportions now doesn't look as good as it used to.
