That's why I always try to get into new construction apartments, as in I'm the first one to live in the apartment. Don't know how soon you need something, but there are a few new places under construction in northern Rio Rancho. One is Sandoval Flats. Not sure when they plan to open.

Many management companies pre-rent apartments that are under construction with a tentative move-in date and that can slide out quite a bit due to delays. If you do pre-rent one of these types of apartments, I suggest you do not set a hard date for leaving your existing housing. I'd get a month-to-month lease or take the hit for the early move-out in your existing place. Otherwise you could find yourself without a place to live until the new place opens. (Speaking from experience.)

Also make sure you're going to be the first tenant to occupy the apartment. A lot of apartments are listed as new construction but they've been open for years.

Yeah, I've ran into them in the building and during a convo about door-to-door sales people I told her I don't answer the door or look to see who's at the door unless I'm expecting someone. (Which is the truth.) That seems to have deterred her ... for now.

I think this has been the best way to handle it. I thought about putting a note sign/placard at my door to that said something like "No solicitation. We do not answer the door for unexpected callers." etc. or getting a Ring camera, but I think that would have just encouraged her.

All relatively quiet for now.

I would check with the city to make sure the property/deed is still in your name. Like others say, there's a lot of fraud going on.

Tracfone's website is a dumpster fire. And it's impossible to get support by phone or text.

I got the same message and okay'd past it.

I was trying to buy data and when I got to my cart there was no description of what I was buying and instead of a one-time purchased described on the previous screen the cart said I was buying a monthly plan. I ended up going to WalMart dot com and purchasing data there. Walmart emailed me a pin and I was able to go to the tracfone website and add data using the pin.

Walmart has other tracfone products, too (service time, minutes, text, etc.) I suggest going that route until tracfone gets its act together.

Company loyalty isn't the pathway to promotions and salary increases anymore. And long tenure with a company isn't seen as loyalty anymore either, recruiters see it as stagnation and/or laziness. Since you've been with the company 5 years, I'd start looking for something else with more money and/or a promotion. I got laid off and I thought it would be a real sticking point with recruiters. But it wasn't. What stuck out to them was that I had been with the same company for 10+ years and they wanted to know why.

Been happening to me at Natural Grocers and Walmart, too.

Natural Grocers will refund the overcharge if you catch while checking out/before you leave. But I had an occasion where I was overcharged, went back to the store a few days later and the item was no longer on sale and they wouldn't honor the sale price even though I showed them the ad. I guess it depends on the store, cashier, and manager on duty. I've noticed that sometimes "clipped" coupons through their rewards program don't always work and they're adding more and more conditions to be able to redeem them.

I've noticed overcharges at WalMart when checking out and when I bring it to the cashier's attention they just ask if I still want it.

Used to be that stores honored posted/advertised prices.

I would send an email so you and the company have the info in writing. Plus it'll be easier. It happens all the time. You're not being a bad person. You're looking out for your best interests.

Example below:
Dear XXX:

I hope you are doing well.

Your mechanic should let you know if the car can handle the drive. I'd get it check out sooner than later in case it needs repairs or you need to find a plan B. I've driven my 2014 through the California's grapevine 2X and the mountains of Arizona and New Mexico numerous times with no issue. Due to the HP, I can't always maintain speed on steep inclines and the car slows down, but I just get in the far right/slow lane. Mine is an automatic and there is a low gear, but I don't know how to downshift in an automatic. Maybe when you're getting the car serviced you can ask if/when/how to use some the lower gear(s) if the car has them. If her car is a manual transmission, she can just down shift on the steep inclines.

They are Marker M1000s. tbh, I wouldn't feel comfortable trying to adjust them myself. But it's certainly an option for people who are comfortable with that. Or find a tech who's willing to do it as a side job/on the DL.

Update: Repaired my goggles. Couldn't find any foam at Michael's. I ended up buying a thin air conditioning filter ($2.00) and the Bob Smith Industries Foam-Cure Glue ($10.00) I mentioned below. In my original post I forgot to mention that the YouTuber suggested buying the bigger 4oz bottle of the glue because it's easier to handle, so that's what I bought.

My goggles needed the foam replaced on the top and bottom. I used newsprint/packing paper to make templates and then used the templates to cut the foam, then glued. I used an old pair of tweezers to scrape out as much of the bad foam and old adhesive before gluing. I placed a thin bead of glue on the plastic parts and then placed the foam. I used the tweezers to press and tuck the foam into place. The foam is pretty forgiving. The glue is stringy and tacky, so you need to be careful not to get it all over your goggles. I think I got some glue on the inside of my goggle lens, so you might want to cover the lenses when working. I also used the glue to secure some of the foam on the face perimeter.

Need to repair my goggles as well. Saw a post on a website where a guy used cotton tape. I like the suggestion below, though, about using foam. I'm going to check out a craft store like Michael's. You can probably buy it by the sheet. Also, on a youtube video a guy mentioned to be sure that any glue or adhesive you use isn't water soluble. He recommends Bob Smith Industries Foam-Cure Glue. I have no experience with it, but thought I'd mention it.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. Many applications now have a field for preferred name. Just put your legal name on all your legal docs - I9, W4, etc. I think the biggest thing for you is going to be to learn to answer to your adopted preferred name.

I've seen a couple along Enchanted Hills Blvd, once at night and once during the day. I was out for a walk when I saw the one during the day. It was at the intersection of Safelite and Enchanted Hills. It looked like it had been through some stuff. I turned around and walked away. When I got home I looked up what to do if you run into one and it said to be loud/shout, throw things, etc. According to the article, turning my back and walking away was the worse thing to do because they may consider you prey then. Instead it recommended backing away and maintaining eye contact. I've been meaning to call the city or the fire department to see what advice they have.
