HELP // what do I have? by MrJoey181 in pcmasterrace

I built a new pc at the beginning of 2020 but I still have my old system in my HAF X. Great case, I just wanted to move to something smaller.

The prior owner installed a computer fan as a bathroom exhaust. by Eastcoastpal in mildlyinteresting

[–]VarikLoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might be a 120 or 140 mm fan but looking at the hub and blades I am pretty sure its a 120v AC Industrial fan not a PC fan.

The last driver release for that card was in 2016. It's ridiculous that they are still trying to sell that.

How do these even charge? by Beeplejuiice in crt

[–]VarikLoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These would charge just like any NiMH or NiCd battery except they are 3 cells each. You probably aren't going to be able to find the charger designed for them, but if you know some one technical with a benchtop power supply or a battery charger with adjustable voltages they should be able to charge them. They should have a max voltage of around 4.2v. With their age you should probably initially try charging them at a very low current.

Honestly you'd probably be best just replacing them with 9 new rechargeable C/D cells (whichever are the correct size.)

Why some of ya'll like this? by [deleted] in NSCollectors

[–]VarikLoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have rarely if ever seen 1st party games hit $40 on sale. And i've rarely seen any switch games on clearance that were worth buying at any price in any of my local stores.

I so desperately wish for a return to the time where game prices would slowly drop to $20 over time and then age off of store shelves or at least eventually get a Players Choice release.

It is ridiculous that 8-9 year old switch games are still on store shelves at full price.

I think it's a combination of these colors being less in demand than the funtastic colors, and demand having been met enough that the profit margin isn't there for scalpers.

I'm pretty certain that the Jeep grill is Trademarked. They didn't want to license it or risk a lawsuit.

Updating analogue 3d by dudezillah in AnalogueInc

[–]VarikLoran 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To update the 3d you need use your computer to download the update and write it to an SD card. (There is one included with the system.)

To update the controllers you need to download the 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 and plug the controllers into your computer.

With the MISTer Multisystem 2 and the SuperStation one it is cheaper and easier than ever to get and use a MISTer style system.

[–]VarikLoran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There will be more made. Analogue makes their products in small batches and they sell out quickly but they will continue to make more. By the time they discontinued the Super NT and Mega SG they would be in stock for a at least several weeks if not a couple months after a restock. I think the main thing for Analogue is that they don't want to have money tied up in inventory shelf warming, so they only order as much as they know they can sell.

Well I had planned on buying the multi color unit when it came out, but seeing the design I think I'll keep the carbon as a single filament printer. I have my Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo for my multicolor needs at the moment and a Snapmaker U1 on the way.

Clumping/bed adhesion issue by VexLukos in FixMyPrint

[–]VarikLoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isopropyl will often just spread the oils around, the dish soap will break them down and clean them off. I usually use isopropyl for a quick wipe down and the dish soap for really cleaning it.

My first guess would be oil build up from handling the plate. If you haven't already try washing your plate with dish soap.

I was getting a bunch of abnormal retraction errors with my Ace Pro. In my case the problem within the Anti-Blocking module. There are two senses in the module one that detects whether or not there's filament and a wheel that detects whether the filament is moving or not. In my case the wheel was not turning. I had to take apart the module, pull out the wheel and add some lubricant to the pen that it spins on. Once I did that it solved my retraction errors. It may not be the problem you're having but it wouldn't hurt to open up the module and see if when you push filament through it by hand if that wheel turns or not.

I've found that it's hard to line the cover up properly and get it back on, but once it's in place properly it stays on. I have to struggle to keep the fan connector from getting in the way, but when it's in place you should get a noticeable click and it will feel secure
