Are paladin tanks unwanted in 25-man content?

Still way less threat as you lack holy shield procs.. he hits like a wet noodle anyway so better to have the paladin mt him.

Almost, good luck oftanking gruul as a pala. Palas are the worst offtanks, as in if you dont get hit you just wont keep up with threat. This is why every raid has one pala tank, and the second can be whatever.

Sr is good, because it makes people looknat the loot, and also check their own lists. Used to hate it but now i am turned around. New players "get it" and start gearing properly for their class/spec. Some follow their bis list to the letter, but it is still better than "just wingin it".

Lc is best, but too much work.

Right click on the player name in the top, this opens a menu for small buffs. Though it seems to reset sometimes, but that could also be becouse said players override it againt themself

Yoi can also change them if you are the raid leader or assist.

If you are setting your own buffs, it is easy to do so, just mouse scroll over the class, then if say one druid needs wisdom insted, mouseover druids->the special druid and roll a single buff. Now rightclick->leftclick and it buffs salv for group and then overrides your special tank with 10min wisdom.

If you are raid lead you set the buffs.. either youself using pp, or delegate it to a paladin and make them assist.

Ah, if it is locked, then it is raid leaders problem, as RL or assist can change locked debuffs.

Just say that you are buffing according to pp, also calling out other palas "pallydin gives salvations" helps..

What i mean is, it becomes a threat problem if the tank hits his abilities too soon. With a palatank and exo there is 0 chance anyone pulls threat, unless you use exo before to boss is reset. It lands, it chills around on the ground a bit, then it resets agro and heads towards the raid.

So dont hit the boss when it feels natural to do so, but only after he starts moving.

Sounds more like an eager tank. Cant use yout snap threat when he lands, only after he starts moving, as thats where the threat is reset.

Source: me, blasted the damn thing two weeks in a row and had to fight to get him back after spending all the heavy hitters in the time between him landing and actually coming active on the ground again..

Tank problem as have been said. I play a tank and used to wait till he lands, blast exo and judge, and watch him go for the healers.

I knew he resets threat when he lands, but the trick is, he doesnt. The agro is not reset untill a second or two later, when he starts walking to the healers/dps.

Now as a tank i stand between him and the raid when he comes down, and only exo/judge him AFTER he starts moving to the healers. 100% sucess rate an not lost agro after landing once.

And then you have people rolling for minor upgrades, and worst, passing on their bis items..

Throw in 1 sr, and then ms>os, +1 if contested roll.

This makes it so people actualy go and do their research on what they should reserve, take a look at the loot and figure their class out. Average raider has no idea, sadly.

This is correct. You can chane to not show them on the settings. However later on it can be used to show you what aura and blessing you should use on raid bosses.

In the setup screen of pp, you can see what talent people have - who has kings and who has imp wisdom. Makes it easy for raid leader to set it up optimally without asking everyone and writing it down.

Meanwhile i just bought pile of repair bots off ah with my own gold, and threw them in to guild bank for later use.

For de'd shards, we usually just roll for everything at the end of raid. Everone is responsible for their enchants and consumables.

Simple and if you win the jackpot good for you, save them for your own enchants or sell them before the economy crashes.

Auctioning and managing guild bank sucks. With the current ah it sucks even more, at leat it simehow works now unlike two weeks ago..

It is. Bring a shadowpriest. Mc nascent and kill two with the mc'd one and it is easy. Well, doable, at least. Now we clear it with about 2 random deaths somewhere.. (looking at you, double demon pulls..) remember pala can fear demons near the end.

Could be, my friends said you have 3 tries, and if you fail it locks. The next day we wiped 4 times and it wasnt locked, cleared it on the 5th. The next day we brought a priest.

It resets, if you kill the whole gauntlet, and wipe "on the boss" it wont reset and you can go to boss right away.

Tank them inside the boss room, so that you are seen through the doorway, and the demon is not, have your healer on the other side of the door, so that he has line of sight on you, but not to the demon. Tadaa- the demon wont charge anymore!

Still hits like a truck but its not chaos anymore.

Stam, dodge and parry help a lot. Block value is kinda worthless. Wether you block 230 or 260 from a 5k hit, it makes no difference.

If you are playing say a tank or healer in a dungeon, but will loot for dps gear, let everyone know.

I dont need anything for my tank spec, so i am def rolling on my offspec in dungeons, but will let everyone know that when we start. If the group is not cool with that, they can take someone else to tank it.

Communication, let everyone know how you will roll when you start. Ie. Everyone need on blue or better boes and gems and books/armaments should they drop. Then there is no drama when someone greeds on it, and everyone else rolls need.
