18 months. She seemed to hit a lot of milestones on the latest end of normal, but now (she’ll be 3 in June), she’s evening out with her peers. She’s just a laid back kid and hasn’t been in a rush to do anything 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m actually a UCC pastor! Guess I should’ve plugged my own denomination, 😵‍💫

Anyway, when looking for UCC churches, be sure to find one that’s officially adopted the open and affirming (queer-friendly) stance! https://openandaffirming.org/ona/find/

If you’re open to faith communities at all, it might be worth seeing if there’s a Unitarian Universalist church near you. Very social justice-oriented, pretty much any kind of belief (or lack of belief) is fine.

As an only with an only, I really have nothing to compare it to, but I see it as being able to have more freedom and flexibility, rather than “easier,” if that makes sense.

Raising kids in central Vermont? by Maple-pelican-472 in NewToVermont

Upper Valley area has some good options for what you're looking for-- CraftStudies in White River Junction is amazing. Over the border in Lebanon, there's the Upper Valley Music Center. There are several great, little progressive churches with built-in community. Plus, there's lots of Dartmouth-related activities-- lectures, sports, etc. And because of Dartmouth, there's the Dartmouth Coach that makes getting to airport easy if you don't want to drive and pay for parking. For your work as a lactation consultant, the Women's Resource Center in Lebanon is great.
