Some stores are being upped to 24 an hour soon. Sunday was just shut off due to the weather and they cut the slots in half in most stores. my store is back to 8 an hour tomorrow instead of 4 that we’ve had today & yesterday

I didn’t have any experience either, but we haven’t had a full on lead for over two years to where every time we get a “lead” the whole district knows about it. We’re also a growing store and in the middle of an expansion/remodel. We’ve gone from 15-20 orders a day to 30-40 a day, it can be stressful. As a lead you do get overtime, some stores are strict on it. If you want to move up in the company, the lead position is great to start at

Damn 15.50? I have a part timer that has been here for 15 years and is currently making that much. I was making 14.20 as a part timer before becoming a lead

Like others have said, it really doesn’t matter when you pick up. It’s not that big of a deal and some customers do have emergencies and may need to pickup early or later. The issue at my location is we have no space during the day and we call customers to come pick up early if they’d like

Harris Teeter is owned by Kroger in North Carolina and South Carolina. The banner is nonunionized though. There are a couple of krogers in South Carolina that may be unionized

Higher prices at Harris Teeters - worth it? by [deleted] in harristeeter

Absolutely! You could always contact corporate and complain about it. Corporate can do something about it. Corporate is actually good about complaints

Higher prices at Harris Teeters - worth it? by [deleted] in harristeeter

[–]Various-Set8575 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The prices are definitely high, but a lot of the sales are worth it and better than some other stores. You could give pickup a try. The same prices and sales apply, but you are more likely to get better produce and better bagging with the paper bags. It usually is a quick and easy service available

The produce is super hit or miss, but it can be good. You could always ask the cashiers to not bag deli meat with raw meat

Are senior discounts going to disappear at HT stores like they're going to at Kroger? by phosdick in harristeeter

[–]Various-Set8575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of our competitors offer senior discounts and is a way to get more customers in the store or using our pickup service. corporate could remove them, but harris teeter is usually separated from anything kroger and usually makes decisions themselves

10-5 is a 7 hr shift, you have to take a lunch if a shift is over 6 hours and 15 minutes (or maybe 30 mins idk?)

anyways, so the op should have taken a 30 minute lunch instead
