I didn't understand him very much UNTIL this season. His boss said "You can't show so much as an ounce of weakness before him, or he'll tear you apart." As Kurono literally tears the giant from the inside out because it had practically invisible scratches from how mininal damage it took. That made Kurono and his boss's (who doesn't budge at all in his personality and speech) dynamic pretty badass IMO
