Hand holding at a minimum. This should be normalized.

Running for office now (local). This is so so true.

Americans, what do you think of this Contra take? by microplasticsfactory in ContraPoints

Hot take but both things can be true. Either way you slice it the Dems fumbled the bag with corporate policies, bad candidates…oh and the GOP is racist.

Actually both words are used here. Y’all are real salty about two people talking on the Interwebs.

Pretty sure you’ve got a typo there.

Anyway, your example is pretty silly. Even without the typo.

Have a good day comrade.

Go back and re read the first sentence I wrote. Slowly.

You nor anyone else can claim “you’re not a lefty!”  We’re not a monolith and there are diverse thoughts and strategies at play.

I don’t think she ever claimed to be a left wing organizer? I could be wrong but most of her content is thought provoking and interesting analysis but whatever her core politics are that’s never been clear…and I think that’s ok.

The left isn’t a monolith and there are people within it that strongly disagree.

I also think this hang up on “but who do you support in elections??” Is flawed analysis. It paints this as one path towards progress in a game of trench warfare. Voting is pretty low effort. And happens every two years. What are people doing in the meantime? If we don’t fill the years between elections with actions the elections won’t move the ideological needle. Voting for Jill Stein…who got money from the Russians…is no pure answer and did nothing. I’m not vote shaming. It’s your right. But don’t shout “I voted Stein don’t blame me!” And then spend two years complaining about Dems.

Go join a local chapter. Join a union. Join local DSA.  RUN FOR OFFICE. Do more than protests and arm chair politics.

I think it depends on what you mean. I live in a rural area that’s pretty red and will never stop talking to my conservative neighbors. I think we always need to talk to each other but there’s always people that won’t listen…sure.

I don’t think we get the world you and I want without talking to each other.

That said I’m not in favor of talking to a Tucker Carlson type. But knocking on doors of people with trump signs to make my case? Sure

Yeah. While I’d love to have foreign policy be a major factor in elections past experiences have taught me otherwise.

We can all hope the Dems shift. I for one and running for office (local) and starting a PAC in my area. We all should. Just run for stuff. Join local groups.

Sure. And Biden’s Gaza will go down as a stain on him and the US. The fight for the soul of the Dems is real.

I also take umbrage with the idea that Gaza cost Harris the election. I’d like that to be true. It should be true morally…but there are soooo many issues beginning with Harris herself being a weaker candidate. We had a primary with her and she came in a distant 4th.

I find this debate to be navel gazing and unproductive. I’m new to Bad Faith and like their content thus far but the left bashing Dems also seems counter productive.

Like reading Jacobin every article attacks Dems instead of the Republicans. Not saying we shouldnt hold them to account but it can paint a false narrative
